State of Play Confirmed for 2nd June, 60+ Minutes of Wolverine and PS5 Games

Sony announced today that its next State of Play livestream will be held on June 2nd, 2026. The broadcast will last for more than an hour and will feature Marvel’s Wolverine, as well as new updates, announcements, and gameplay footage from various game developers worldwide.

Sony has announced that Insomniac will soon share more gameplay footage of Marvel’s Wolverine, highlighting its intense combat and revealing new details about the game. It’s scheduled to release on PlayStation 5 on September 15th.

The State of Play takes place on Tuesday, 2nd June 2026 at the following times worldwide:

  • North America: 2pm PDT / 3pm MDT / 4pm CDT / 5pm EDT
  • UK/Ire: 10pm BST
  • Europe: 11pm CEST / 12am (Wed) EEST
  • Asia/Oceania: 6am (Wed) JST / 5am (Wed) AWST / 7am (Wed) AEST

You can watch Sony’s showcase live in English on all major video platforms, with Japanese subtitles offered. Plus, we’ll be streaming it live right here on Push Square, where you can chat with our community!

Besides Marvel’s Wolverine, the livestream could feature games from PlayStation Studios like Intergalactic, Marvel Tokon, and their live service titles, including Fairgames and Horizon Hunters Gathering. There’s also the possibility of seeing announcements about rumored projects, such as a new God of War game starring Faye.

The showcase will also include contributions from other companies, opening up many new opportunities.

Something unique Sony is doing is broadcasting their State of Play event at certain Alamo Drafthouse cinemas. They’re offering free tickets to “special live watch parties” where people can view the livestream together. Here’s where the event will be shown:
