State of Play Announced for June 2nd, Includes New Look at Marvel’s Wolverine

A new State of Play presentation is scheduled for June 2nd at 2 PM Pacific Time. After a lot of speculation, it’s set to deliver over an hour of news, including announcements and gameplay footage from various studios worldwide. We’ll also get a more detailed look at the upcoming game, Marvel’s Wolverine.

We’re getting more information soon, and Insomniac is promising a detailed look at the game’s combat. They’ve stated they won’t start taking pre-orders until they show more of the gameplay, so be prepared to buy it after the reveal. Based on the pricing of games like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Ghost of Yōtei, and Saros, you can likely expect a price tag of around $70.

So, what’s next for fans? Naughty Dog is likely to show off some gameplay from their new sci-fi game, Intergalactic, soon. While the game is currently planned for a mid-2027 release, fans are eager to see it in action. Reports suggest Intergalactic will offer a similar experience to Elden Ring. We can also expect to see more characters revealed for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls before its August launch.

We might also see a new trailer for Silent Hill: Townfall, possibly revealing its release date and showing more of the gameplay. As for ongoing games, Marathon could make an appearance, coinciding with the start of its Season 2: NIGHTFALL. There’s also a chance we’ll finally get an update on Haven Studios’ Fairgame$. Only time will tell, but keep an eye out for potential news about Saros as well!
