When Does the Horizon Hunters Gathering Closed Beta Start?
The Horizon Hunters Gathering closed beta test takes place over the course of four days.
The open beta begins 11AM PDT on Friday 22nd May and concludes at 8PM PDT on Monday 25th May.
How Do You Join the Horizon Hunters Gathering Closed Beta?
To join the closed beta test for Horizon Hunters Gathering, you need to register for the PlayStation Beta Program.
Log in to your PlayStation account and follow the instructions in the link provided. If you’re chosen, you’ll be able to participate in the beta test.
Participation isn’t guaranteed for everyone who registers. We’ll notify you by email if you’re selected to join, and these invitations are being sent out now. Some people have already received their invites.
On What Platforms Is the Horizon Hunters Gathering Closed Beta Playable?
You can now play the Horizon Hunters Gathering closed beta on both PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam, and players on both platforms can play together.
What’s Included in the Horizon Hunters Gathering Closed Beta?
The Horizon Hunters Gathering closed beta lets you try out multiple characters and game modes, offering a solid preview of the complete game experience.
Characters
You’ll be able to play as five characters, each with different specialities and weapon types:
- Axle
- Rem
- Sun
- Shadow
- Ensa
Modes
There are two main modes available to play in the Horizon Hunters Gathering closed beta:
- Machine Incursion: fight enemy machines, build up your character, and fight a big boss at the end
- Cauldron Descent: work through a series of combat rooms and other challenges as you descend towards a large machine at the bottom
On top of that, users will be able to check out a few other bits and pieces.
- Episode: you’ll be able to check out an Episode, which is one of the game’s story missions
- The Gathering: you can check out the Gathering, which is the game’s social hub where you can meet with other players
