Kathie Lee Gifford is bidding farewell to her beloved home.
Kathie Lee Gifford could also be set to make a significant profit, as she’s put the waterfront home she shared with her late husband, Frank Gifford, in Greenwich, Connecticut, on the market for $100 million.
In 1994, Kathie Lee Gifford and her husband, former NFL running back Frank Gifford, bought a waterfront estate called Cedar Cliff for $7.8 million. At the time, they were living on a farm nearby with their young children, Cody and Cassidy, according to records obtained by The Wall Street Journal.
Although she initially told the publication in an email on May 18th that she and Frank hadn’t intended to move, she later revealed they felt an unspoken connection while viewing the property. She described it as giving each other a knowing look – what they call a ‘real-estate nod’ – before deciding to buy the home.
When Kathie Lee and Frank bought the 1930s Mediterranean mansion, they completely renovated it and added a new three-story wing. This addition included a master suite, a home theater, an office, and a wine cellar.
The former talk show host told The Wall Street Journal that if they hadn’t pursued a career in entertainment, they would have become an architect or interior designer. They said it’s something they’ve always been passionate about.
The building has been renovated to include eight bedrooms and now offers 15,000 square feet of living space. Outside, you’ll find amenities like a tennis court, a swimming pool with a poolhouse, and private access to a beach and a dock.
In her email, Kathie Lee also mentioned adding a professional recording studio, which allowed her to continue writing songs and working in broadcasting.

She and Frank also loved hosting parties for their famous friends, like her Live With Regis and Kathie Lee co-host, Regis Philbin, and close friend, Hoda Kotb.
I threw a party for Hoda’s 50th birthday right here on our patio, with everyone from the Today show. It felt like we were constantly celebrating something fun!
Frank lived in the house for over twenty years, and his death in 2015 dramatically changed its atmosphere. As Kathie Lee described it, the home, once vibrant with life, laughter, and music, suddenly felt quiet and empty.
Kathie Lee described her 2019 relocation to Nashville as a fresh start, but she also made it clear that she still held Cedar Cliff dear to her heart.
Still, she shared it’s now “the right time” to say goodbye to the home.
