Nikki Garcia Gives Update on Ankle Injury Ahead of WWE Event

Nikki Garcia is tackling her recovery with optimism.

Just one month after ankle surgery, WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella shared encouraging news about her recovery.

Nikki Bella shared with TopMob News that she’s focusing on regaining her strength. While at a Las Vegas Sam’s Club promoting her wine brand, Bonita Bonita, with her sister Brie Garcia, she explained she’s still unable to move side-to-side or run.

Still, the 42-year-old said, “But I’m straight, standing tall. Getting there.”

Nikki Bella won’t have an update on her ankle injury until after the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match on Saturday Night Main Event on May 23rd.

“I’m getting my X-rays in a few weeks—mid-June,” Nikki added. “So, then we’ll see the growth.”

Last month, Nikki shared a photo of her injured foot. She hurt it while working on the March 27th episode of SmackDown. Nikki and her ex-partner, Artem Chigvintsev, share a 5-year-old son named Matteo.

Nikki shared on X (formerly Twitter) that she fractured, tore, and sprained her ankle, adding that the past two weeks have been very painful.

While Nikki recovers, her twin sister Brie Bella has asked fellow wrestler Paige (whose real name is Saraya-Jade Bevis) to team up with her. They are currently the Women’s Tag Team Champions, having won the title at WrestleMania 42.

At the event, Nikki made an appearance and told the crowd she wished she could participate.

I worked hard to recover from my injury, but the doctors didn’t clear me to compete today,” she explained to the crowd before bringing out Paige. “I didn’t want to take anything away from Brie’s WrestleMania moment, so I asked a friend to step in and take my place.

And Brie is planning to work with Paige until Nikki returns to the ring.

Paige and I will work very hard to hold onto the championships until Nikki returns,” she said to TopMob while they were both in Las Vegas. Her sister agreed, saying, “That’s right.”

Former Total Bellas star revealed that one of her breast implants moved after being hit in the chest by fellow WWE wrestler Piper Niven during a match in July 2025.

She reassured her sister, Bella Garcia, saying they would get the issue resolved eventually. She wanted to be ready for future opportunities and make sure things weren’t left in their current condition.

Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in 12 Years a Slave, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids—non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus—in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.

She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with the condition for over ten years.

She explained that growing up, people are often told periods are painful and that pain is just something women have to deal with. This leaves many of us feeling like we’re suffering through it on our own, when it’s actually a very common experience.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she was hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she had been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap in her abdominal muscles.

Someone messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter) asking why she hadn’t tweeted recently. Suki replied, jokingly suggesting the reason was a hernia she got six months ago from wearing overly tight pants, and that she’d been afraid to mention it.

The former star of Beverly Hills, 90210 shared in April 2025 that he was recovering from surgery because his appendix was close to rupturing.

According to Reuters, the U.S. Women’s National Team player was seen slowly sitting down on the field with a teammate supporting her, just before she collapsed. Trainers were immediately called to assess her condition.

I was absolutely devastated when I heard about Savannah. The NWSL posted on X that she got immediate medical attention right on the field, and they rushed her to the hospital to check her out. Thankfully, they said she’s stable and alert, which is the biggest relief, but honestly, I haven’t been able to stop worrying about her since!

Adam Devine revealed that he still feels the effects of injuries he suffered as a child when he was hit by a cement truck at age 11.

“It’s been a really difficult time,” Devine shared on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast in 2025. “I’ve been experiencing spasms all over my body, and doctors recently told me I was facing a life-threatening situation—just within the last year.”

He explained that his pain is intermittent, saying, “My body has some quirks and isn’t quite working perfectly.”

A former contestant on The Bachelor went to the hospital because of severe back pain. He said the pain was so bad he had to crawl on his hands and knees, and it got worse during a road trip with a friend.

He described a strange tingling sensation that still lingered in his legs as of March 2025, sharing this on his Trading Secrets podcast. He explained that just a few weeks or a month prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds, but now he can’t even do a single squat without falling over. He said it felt like he’d had a stroke.

But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

Gina Kirschenheiter, from The Real Housewives of Orange County, revealed that her ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, had a heart attack in March 2025, but he is recovering well.

In March 2025, the actor from 30 Rock experienced a medical issue at a New York Knicks game and had to be taken out of Madison Square Garden in a wheelchair.

Okay, so there was a bit of a scare yesterday, but I wanted to let everyone know I’m feeling much better! Turns out it wasn’t anything serious – just a pretty nasty case of food poisoning. Thankfully, I’m already on the road to recovery and things are looking up!

In February 2025, the former Even Stevens star revealed she was shot in the face during a birthday outing with her husband, Brendan Rooney. They were on a trip to go clay pigeon shooting when the incident occurred.

According to her Instagram post, she was shot in the face by someone at a party who fired a gun recklessly. She said @thebrendanrooney quickly helped her and took her to the hospital. She was hit five times, and one bullet narrowly missed her right eye by less than an inch.

The Kim Possible actor explained that a small piece of something got stuck behind their eye. Doctors have advised against removing it with surgery right now, and they’ll be keeping a close watch on the situation, as their vision is currently normal.

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, despite its often negative side, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier,” Schumer was surprised to see doctors commenting on her appearance online. They suggested she might have Cushing syndrome, possibly caused by steroid injections. This prompted Schumer to realize she had been receiving steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section. Without the online commentary, she might never have connected the injections to her condition. She was relieved to learn she had a form of Cushing syndrome that would resolve on its own, and she’s now healthy. She shared this positive news in a February 2024 newsletter, calling it the “greatest news imaginable.”

During a game in December 2024, an American Hockey League player was accidentally cut in the face by another player’s skate and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. After his son made a full recovery, New Jersey Devils General Manager Tom Fitzgerald shared with ESPN how relieved they were, saying, “We feel very fortunate, and I wouldn’t want any parent to go through that.”

Oh my gosh, I was SO worried when I heard about what happened to Hailey! Can you believe she was just having breakfast with Justin in March 2022 and suddenly started having stroke-like symptoms? She said Justin kept asking if she was okay, but she couldn’t even respond the first time! Then, when she tried to answer, she literally couldn’t speak, and the right side of her face started drooping! It sounds terrifying! Thankfully, it stopped, and her speech came back, but she immediately went to the hospital, which was smart. They did scans and found out she’d had a small blood clot to her brain – they called it a TIA. But that wasn’t even the whole story! Later, she found out she has a hole in her heart, a PFO, and that’s how the clot got to her brain! It basically ‘escaped’ through the hole! Thankfully, she had a procedure to close it and she’s feeling amazing now. I’m just so relieved she’s okay! It was such a scary thing to hear about, but she’s so strong for sharing everything!

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.

In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained that the virus affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on one side. He also mentioned it became increasingly difficult to eat.

Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, calling the situation scary but assuring everyone he would be completely fine and that she was grateful he was on the mend.

Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had initially kept private. In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, he explained that he suffered a severe headache one day and lost consciousness before he could take an aspirin. He doesn’t remember the next 20 days.

Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. There, doctors discovered he had a brain bleed that led to a stroke.

After surgery, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then went to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed his gratitude for the prayers he received, saying he needed them all.

The reality TV star shared that she briefly stopped breathing while running in the first challenge of the NBC competition show, describing the experience as feeling like ‘dying’.

She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, everything went dark, but she then saw light, leading her to realize she had died that day.

She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where the body essentially starts to shut down.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the show, she experienced a sudden, severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.

After being taken to the hospital, doctors diagnosed her with a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding in the space around the brain. She had suffered an aneurysm, a rupture in an artery. Immediate surgery was performed to repair it, but the pain was excruciating.

During her recovery, Emilia experienced aphasia, making it difficult to speak, and often found herself mumbling incoherently. Thankfully, the aphasia subsided after a week, and she was discharged from the hospital after a month. However, a brain scan in 2013 revealed the aneurysm had doubled in size, requiring a second surgery.

This second procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a massive bleed. Doctors warned her that another surgery – this time requiring them to access her brain directly through her skull – was her only chance of survival. Thankfully, Emilia is now fully recovered and says she’s “at a hundred per cent.”

Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, is thankful for the support of her family. In January 2024, she suffered a stroke and immediately reached out to her loved ones, who quickly came to her aid. She told TopMob News’ Will Marfuggi in December 2024 that they “just came to my rescue.”

Cori ended up staying in the hospital longer than expected due to other health issues. While she could have gone home after the stroke, she was also dealing with lupus and kidney problems.

Today, Cori is recovering well. She says she’s “doing great” and has been working to regain some motor skills, but is otherwise feeling fine.

Shailene Woodley struggled with her health throughout her early twenties. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she revealed she experienced hearing loss, debilitating fatigue, and persistent stomach pain, leading to a confusing array of diagnoses. Determined to find answers, Woodley combined traditional medical care with holistic and herbal remedies. This search for well-being spanned a decade. She explained that the physical discomfort led to anxiety around food and, eventually, issues with body image and a sense of self. Thankfully, after years of addressing both her physical and mental health, Woodley is now healthy and feeling much better.
