As a TV fan, I’ve seen Netflix launch a ton of shows that really captured everyone’s attention – at least initially. But Emily in Paris is a strange case. Unlike most hits, it’s consistently gotten pretty mixed reviews, and even the audience scores haven’t been great. Yet, every time a new season drops, it immediately shoots to the top of the most-watched list on Netflix! There’s just something about Lily Collins’s character, Emily, that keeps people coming back for more – whether it’s her messy love life or those gorgeous European adventures. It’s a bit sad to hear that Emily’s story is wrapping up, though.
Lily Collins announced that season six of Emily in Paris will be the show’s last. In a video on Netflix’s Instagram, she shared that while it’s been an amazing six years playing Emily Cooper, they’re wrapping up her story. Collins promised fans the final season will deliver everything they love about the show and will be a fitting end to Emily’s incredible journey. Filming is already happening, and the whole team is working hard to make it a special farewell. She expressed her gratitude to fans and said they’re aiming to celebrate the final season in style.
Series creator Darren Star echoed that sentiment in a statement for Netflix’s Tudum. “Making Emily in Paris with this extraordinary cast and crew has been the trip of a lifetime. As we embark on the final season, I am so grateful to Netflix, Paramount, and, most importantly, the fans who have taken this incredible journey with us. We can’t wait to share this last chapter with you. Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives, inspiring your dreams of travel and your love of Paris. We will always have Emily in Paris!“
What Can Fans Expect of the Final Season of Emily in Paris?

The fifth season of Emily in Paris concluded with Emily choosing to return to Paris alone after ending her relationship with Marcello in Italy. Meanwhile, Gabriel left Paris to work as a private chef on a yacht. Upon learning Emily was single, he sent her a postcard from Greece, suggesting she join him. Season 6 begins with Emily accepting this invitation, and photos confirm she’ll spend at least some time in Greece during the final season.
The main cast of Emily in Paris will be back for Season 6, including Lily Collins, Ashley Park, Lucien Laviscount, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, and William Abadie. Minnie Driver, who played Princess Jane in Season 5, will also return as her character invested in Agence Grateau, and that storyline will continue. Production is anticipated to finish in the first half of 2026, with the new season expected to premiere on Netflix later that year, likely in December. It’s currently unknown whether all 10 episodes will be released simultaneously or in two parts, like Season 4.
Emily in Paris Season 6 is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in late 2026.
