Everyone knows Spider-Man has abilities similar to a spider, like climbing walls and shooting webs. However, he’s much more powerful than any actual spider! While spiders aren’t known for incredible strength, Spider-Man can lift enormous weights. But his most unique and arguably greatest power isn‘t based on spiders at all – it’s his Spider-Sense, which warns him of danger.
Peter Parker’s Spider-Sense alerts him to all sorts of danger, both physical attacks and potential problems. It allows him to react instantly, dodging blows he wouldn’t even see coming, but it also warns him of situations that could lead to trouble. For instance, if he started to remove his mask while someone was secretly watching, his Spider-Sense would warn him that doing so would reveal his identity. This incredible ability has saved his life more often than any of his other powers, and it’s always been something of a mystery. However, as shown in Amazing Spider-Man (2025) #29, his Spider-Sense may be even more powerful than previously believed – and that could be a problem.
The Ultimate Precog Radar

Okay, so after that brutal fight with Hellgate, I’ve been seeing Spider-Man really focus on leveling up his abilities. He was even considering some pretty extreme genetic modifications with this shady alien scientist, and he asked Glitch – this cool techno-organic alien friend he made – to tweak his web-shooters, but Glitch thought they were already perfect. Peter was desperate to get stronger for a rematch with Hellgate, and when science wasn’t delivering, he went old school: hardcore training. He actually sought out Daredevil – seriously, one of the best fighters around – to help him refine his Spider-Sense and become a better hero. It’s cool to see him really pushing himself!
Daredevil attacked Peter with a mix of gunfire and flashlights, telling him to sense the flashlights coming and dodge them. In the end, Spider-Man couldn’t dodge, but they discovered something interesting. Daredevil heard Spider-Man tense right before the flashlights turned on, meaning that he could sense them even though they weren’t a threat. This means that Peter’s Spider-Sense was a whole lot stronger than they thought, and that he could likely train it to detect just about any kind of event coming his way, like the ultimate precognitive radar. Still, Matt cautioned him. Spider-Man’s body clearly regulated his Spider-Sense for a reason, and pushing too hard could destroy that balance and, in turn, himself.
Seeing Everything Before It Happens

As a huge Spider-Man fan, I’ve always wondered about the full potential of Spider-Sense, and it turns out the explanation for its incredible power is already in the comics! We’ve seen Miles Morales really push the boundaries of it, basically training his Spider-Sense to work like a full-on radar. He can ‘see’ everything around him even with his eyes closed! It’s not just about dodging punches, either – he can sense when others are in trouble and even get impressions from things he touches. Honestly, Spider-Sense has always felt a little… undefined, but it’s always hinted that it could be something way bigger than Peter Parker ever tapped into. Remember when he could even pick up radio signals with it? That’s wild!
Peter’s powers have always been a lot stronger than most people initially think, and his Spider-Sense has always been his most versatile ability. This revelation not only ties its many disparate uses together but opens the door for all kinds of new interpretations of what Spider-Man is capable of. Spider-Man has always been able to see just into the future to dodge attacks and save lives, but what if he could detect everything around him all at once, to a degree that would overload even Daredevil? Spider-Man might just perceive the danger of the entire world in one go, and while this might just break him, it might push him to be an even greater hero.
