Starting a trailer for the 007 game First Light is challenging. You know it will feature action, fighting, and beautiful scenery, but finding the right opening is tough. So, we went with a familiar spin on the iconic line, ‘Bond, James Bond.’
That’s Isola, an ally to the new, younger version of Bond. She’s mysterious, and even M sees her as a tool to achieve a goal. The game also revisits 009, the villain shown in the gameplay footage. He appears to be plotting something big, and even the head of MI6, Greenway, thinks the agency won’t be able to predict his ultimate plan.
Honestly, seeing Bond bring in new recruits makes total sense – they really need all the help they can get to keep tabs on everything that’s happening! Even with all the twists and turns in the plot, First Light looks like it’s going to be packed with action. I’ve seen glimpses of a really intense fight in a bathroom and some crazy stunt involving Bond jumping and explosions at what looks like an offshore facility. And thankfully, Bond still has time to be Bond – he even uses the alias ‘St. John Smythe,’ which is a fun nod to the Roger Moore days in A View to Kill!
The game 007 First Light will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC starting May 27th. Players who purchase the Deluxe Edition will be able to begin playing a day earlier, on May 26th.
