During the penultimate episode of the series on Thursday night, George Tunny from the project found himself shedding tears.
Georgie, aged 34, got teary-eyed during a part of the broadcast where veteran panelist, Susie Youssef, made a visit to a school in Melbourne.
The comedian inquired from the children about the most heartfelt ways they know to bid farewell to those they hold dear.
At a certain moment, one of the adorable little ones flipped the situation around and inquired from Susie about what she would tell The Project team if the show were to be cancelled on Friday.
She expressed to her colleagues that she held a deep affection for them and felt incredibly thankful for the valuable experiences they provided her with.

Once the recorded part of the show ended, it resumed back to the live discussion featuring Susie and co-presenter Waleed Aly. However, Georgie had great difficulty continuing.
Georgia, with a tear-streaked face, expressed her departure by saying, “I’ve left already,” followed by expressing her emotional reaction to Susie’s heartfelt presentation.
Meanwhile, Susie also appeared emotional as she paid tribute to the show.
It comes after Sarah Harris has broken down as The Project enters its final days after being axed.
The host broke into tears during the broadcast as Kate Langbroek commended the series for its trailblazing approach in the realm of current affairs.
In a field that requires extensive planning and adheres to numerous television-imposed constraints, she pondered, ‘How does one shatter all these pre-existing structures and regulations?’
That was enough to set Sarah off, leaving her swatting away tears as she confessed, ‘You got me.’
Sarah expressed that Kate is truly inspiring, and further remarked: “I’ll follow you like a loyal pup; you’re pure enchantment.
