Crunchyroll’s Major Shonen Series Reveals New Look Ahead of Finale

The anime adaptation of the popular manga Dr. Stone, by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi, is finishing up its story this week with the release of the third and final part of its last season. The manga concluded in 2023, and TOHO announced the final season, called Science Future, would be split into three parts. Now that the final part is streaming, fans are eager to see how the story concludes and all the remaining mysteries are resolved. New episodes are available on Crunchyroll, the leading anime streaming service, starting April 2nd, 2026, with subtitles and dubbing. Episodes will stream every Thursday at 7:00 A.M. Pacific Time, soon after they air in Japan.

The latest season is now available to fans across North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East. Good news for longtime viewers – the original voice actors are returning! Plus, a new actor will be joining the cast to play a beloved character who’s about to appear. While the exact number of episodes isn’t confirmed, it’s likely there will be around 12, similar to previous seasons.

Dr. Stone Will Wrap Up The Story in Science Future Cour 3

The new season continues the story right after the last one, with Senku and his Kingdom of Science setting sail for North America on the Perseus. They’re on a mission to collect everything they need – including platinum, special metals, and crucially, corn – to build a rocket and finally face the enigmatic “Why-Man.” This journey begins with gathering these essential supplies, taking them across the globe.

I’m so excited about where Dr. Stone is going! Things got really tricky for the Kingdom of Science when they discovered Senku’s old mentor, Dr. Xeno, had already set up a base and gathered a lot of followers. They’ve come a long way since dealing with Stanley’s crew, though! Now, with the final showdown looming, they’re preparing to face the Why-Man and truly rebuild civilization. And the best part? Dr. Xeno is with them now! His knowledge is going to be a game-changer for the team.

The team is almost complete – they just need a skilled mathematician to help build their spaceship, and Ryusui knows exactly who to ask. While the anime trailer only offers a quick look at this new character, the official website has revealed his design and hints at more information coming soon. He’s being described as the most brilliant mathematician alive.
