We’re really enjoying the small previews Archetype is sharing for Exodus, and we hope they continue even after the more detailed gameplay reveal they’ve promised in the coming weeks.
The newest scene takes us to a “Volcanic Hellscape,” a desolate land where nothing appears to live. We only see the start of Jun Aslan’s journey into this grim place, but the broken remains of a faraway ship and a strange, green fog – which definitely looks like it would require a good air filter – immediately stand out.
The silence hanging over the area is deeply unsettling, like a heavy sadness you can almost feel. It creates a sense that something terrible has happened, and that danger is still lurking. But we intend to stop it.
This new preview comes after the exciting battle in the Ghost City and the fascinating glimpse into The Guarding Maze we saw last week. The variety of environments shown is really impressive, and we’re eagerly awaiting June 6th to see how the studio combines all these worlds into one game.
