Rockstar Games Game Free With PlayStation Plus For Limited Time

For a limited time, PlayStation Plus subscribers can get a popular Rockstar Games title for free. If you have the basic ‘Essential’ tier, this doesn’t apply to you. But if you’re on the ‘Extra’ or ‘Premium’ tiers, you can download it now. Just remember the deadline: June 16th. After that date, the game will no longer be included with your subscription. The good news is, it’s available for both PS5 and PS4 players until then.

In 2010, Rockstar San Diego released Red Dead Redemption on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and it quickly became a beloved classic. While millions have enjoyed the game, even more have played its 2018 follow-up, Red Dead Redemption 2. If you haven’t experienced the original, or haven’t played either game, now’s your chance – it’s free to play until June 16th! It’s a much shorter experience than RDR2. You can finish the main story in around 15-20 hours, with completionists needing around 50 hours. For comparison, just completing the story in Red Dead Redemption 2 takes about 50 hours. Side quests and exploration will add to that time, of course.

If you’re unfamiliar, Red Dead Redemption received a score of 95 on Metacritic, making it one of the highest-rated video games ever made. It’s just a few points behind the top spot, which is currently held by its sequel. But does it still stand up today? Definitely. When Red Dead Redemption first came out, it was remarkably innovative for its time. While some of the visuals and mechanics might feel a little old now, the game’s world and story remain outstanding.

Just so you know, PlayStation Plus members are getting Red Dead Redemption at no extra cost, which saves them $50. While the game does occasionally go on sale, the discounts are usually pretty small.
