They’ll be looking back at highlights from the first season, giving away prizes to attendees, and sharing new details about the upcoming second season. Fans will also get to hear from Yoshino Aoyama, the Japanese voice actor for Yumeka, and Zach Aguilar, who voices Taiki in the English dub. It promises to be an exciting event, especially with the new season on the horizon!

The second season of Blue Box will premiere in Japan on October 4th. While it’s expected to be available on Netflix sometime in October, a specific international release date hasn’t been announced yet. Fans hope an official date will be revealed at the Anime Expo 2026 panel. The voice actors are returning, but there will be some new people working on the show behind the scenes.

What’s New for Blue Box Season 2?

Season 2 of Blue Box has a few changes behind the scenes. Daisuke Sako is now directing, taking over from Yuichiro Yano who directed Season 1. The animation is being handled by Electric Circus this time, instead of Telecom Animation Film. Luckily, Yuki Kakihara is back to write the scripts, and Miho Tanino is returning to design the new characters.

Season 2 of Blue Box will bring back the original voice actors, including Shoya Chiba as Taiki Inomata, Reina Ueda as Chinatsu Kano, Akari Kito as Hina Chono, Chiaki Kobayashi as Kyo Kasahara, Yuma Uchida as Kengo Haryu, Shogo Sakata as Ryosuke Nishida, and Anna Nagase as Nagisa Funami, among others. With the manga nearing its conclusion later this year as it finishes its final storyline, the success of this new season is particularly important.
