Hit Cartoon Network Revival Finally Confirms HBO Max Release Date

A beloved Cartoon Network show recently returned with a new series, and now we know when it will be available on HBO Max. It’s been an exciting time for fans of classic Cartoon Network programs, as several popular shows have been revived. Following the positive reception of shows like The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball, more revivals are planned for the rest of the year, including one that premiered last month.

Regular Show: The Lost Tapes recently brought the popular series back to Cartoon Network after a nine-year hiatus, with many of the original creators and voice actors returning. The revival has been a ratings success since its spring debut, and it will also be available to stream on HBO Max starting June 8th.

Regular Show: The Lost Tapes Confirms HBO Max Streaming Date

HBO Max has announced its June 2026 schedule, which includes the streaming release of the first ten episodes of the Regular Show: The Lost Tapes revival, known as “Season 1A,” on June 8th. These episodes originally aired on Cartoon Network in May. So far, 40 episodes of the revival have been confirmed, and due to its popularity with both longtime fans and new viewers, there’s a possibility even more episodes could be produced.

Regular Show: The Lost Tapes was created by JG Quintel, who also oversaw production for Cartoon Network Studios. Sean Szeles and Sam Register were executive producers, with Toby Jones as supervising director, Paula Spence as supervising art director, and Ryan Slater as producer. Many of the original voice actors, including William Salyers, Sam Marin, Mark Hamill, Minty Lewis, and Janie Haddad Tompkins, returned for the series. Essentially, it’s like watching all-new episodes of the beloved show.

What’s New for Regular Show: The Lost Tapes?

Regular Show: The Lost Tapes feels like a natural continuation of the original series. Even though the original show had a definitive ending with Pops’ sacrifice, this revival cleverly delivers new stories without undoing that conclusion. For those who haven’t seen it yet, the revival essentially offers more episodes in the classic Regular Show style, taking place during Mordecai and Rigby’s time working at the park.

The recent revival of Regular Show has brought back many beloved characters from the original series, even those who were previously considered gone or forgotten. With the show coming to HBO Max this June, more viewers will get a chance to see what’s making the revival so popular before new episodes are released soon.
