For nearly 90 years, The Phantom has been a celebrated hero battling evil, and a fresh wave of fans are discovering him through the popular comic series from Mad Cave Studios. The series has been leading up to a major showdown between The Phantom and one of his most dangerous foes, and that battle is now here in a brand-new one-shot comic – we have all the exclusive details!
Mad Cave Studios is releasing a new one-shot comic, The Phantom vs. The Singh Brotherhood #1, featuring an intense showdown between The Phantom and Arif Singh. Written by Ray Fawkes (known for his work on Batman: Eternal and Constantine), with art by Russell Olson and lettering by Taylor Esposito, this 40-page issue sees The Phantom confronting Singh… even though Singh is in prison. Despite being locked up, Singh continues to run his criminal empire, and The Phantom is determined to stop him, no matter the cost.

The Phantom Series Has Been Building To This Battle Since Day One

Throughout the series, the Phantom has been struggling with the effects of Singh’s control and strength. Even after defeating the Brotherhood’s attack on Bangalla, one final challenge remains to fully resolve the conflict. That showdown is now here, and writer Ray Fawkes explains that this outcome has been planned since the very beginning of the story.
As a long-time Phantom fan, I’m really excited about the latest issue! It finally delivers the showdown between The Phantom and Asif Singh that’s been brewing since the very beginning of this series. Ray Fawkes and the team have created a story that feels both classic – really honoring the original Phantom legend – and completely current. They’re clearly proud of it, and honestly, so am I. It’s a fantastic read!
Russell Olson is particularly enthusiastic about how this story shows The Phantom’s commanding presence when he’s away from his jungle home. He emphasizes that The Phantom isn’t a hero with superpowers; his strength comes from his determination, skill, and strong moral compass – qualities that have made him a popular character for over 90 years. Olson believes this new work honors that legacy and continues it, calling The Phantom a ‘fantastic’ character and expressing his privilege in working on the book.
The Phantom ss. The Singh Brotherhood #1 will feature covers by Mark Spears (Monsters), and Freddie Williams II and Andrew Dalhouse, and you can find the official description for the new one-shot below.
Everything has led to this final showdown: The Phantom against Arif Singh and his dangerous Brotherhood! After their attack on Bangalla failed, Singh was facing life in prison. However, prison walls can’t hold a man who leads a powerful global criminal network. It’s up to The Phantom to stop him, but this time, the fight could cost The Phantom his life.
The new comic book, The Phantom vs. The Singh Brotherhood, will be available in stores on August 19, 2026. If you want to ensure you get a copy, retailers need final orders by July 27, 2026.
