Taylor Swift Sends 8-Year-Old Fan the Ultimate Gift After Viral Video

A fan sent a paper airplane flying, flying, flying—so Taylor Swift had to express her gratitude.

I was so thrilled to hear about what Taylor Swift did for Madeline! This adorable 8-year-old is a huge fan, and she sent a song request to her neighbor by tossing a flyer over the fence. Taylor actually saw it, and sent Madeline the sweetest surprise – a package with a handwritten note and a signed guitar! It’s moments like these that show how amazing Taylor is to her fans.

Taylor wrote a sweet note to Madeline, which Madeline’s mom, Natalie Hulec, shared on Instagram. In the note, Taylor said it made her incredibly happy that Madeline had asked a neighbor to play one of her songs, and that it brought a huge smile to her face!

Taylor also sent a signed guitar from her Midnights collection with a note saying, “I’m sending you one so you can learn to play too!”

To complete the message, Taylor added, “Sending you all my love.”

In a TikTok posted on April 23rd, Madeline’s mom explained that her daughter was doing homework when she heard their neighbor, Ethan Hayes, playing guitar outside. Madeline then asked Ethan to play a Taylor Swift song.

When Taylor Swift sent him a note via paper airplane, musician Ethan admitted he briefly panicked. He wasn’t completely familiar with all of her songs, but he quickly played her hit “Love Story,” which she loved.

Madeline’s parents thought the moment was adorable and had to share it, so Natalie posted it on social media.

Madeline’s stepfather, Russell, told People magazine that they weren’t expecting any attention at all. She just wanted to share a sweet moment with her friends. They were surprised to wake up and find the video had already been viewed by tens of thousands of people. ‘It was like, ‘Oh wow,’ he said.

Meanwhile Ethan was just as floored by the positive response to the sweet moment.

He told People magazine that he’s thrilled to have gained thousands of followers and that the response has been overwhelmingly positive. He noted it’s unusual to not receive any negative comments, and he’s thankful to be involved in such a supportive community.
