I’m known for my questionable fashion choices – I’m wearing an Oshi no Ko t-shirt and have NewJeans accessories on my backpack, so I’m basically a walking fashion disaster. That’s why it might seem surprising, but I actually bought this new crossbody bag from Zara.
But I don’t think even I can pull this one off.
Priced at $35.90, £19.99, or €22.95, this new phone sling is designed to look like a classic Sony handheld console. It’s a significant improvement in appearance over their earlier designs, such as the DualSense controller, but it still has a very noticeable, geeky style.
The case has a clear window where you can display stickers or figures of your favorite anime characters, if you’re feeling adventurous. Or, you could show you’re a true local by filling it with Toro Inoue plushies instead of souvenirs.
I’m not sure who Zara is trying to reach with this item, but it definitely seems like something trendy young influencers would rock. Sadly, I think I’ve aged out of being able to pull it off.
It’s cool to see Sony continuing to team-up with retailers on retro accessories like this, though.
