Ray J Shares Health Update After Knockout Loss During MMA Match

Ray J isn’t slipping in his healing.

The 45-year-old man provided an update on how he’s doing after losing a fight by knockout to YouTuber Supa Hot Fire at the Adin Ross UFC Apex event in Las Vegas on May 23rd.

Ray J posted on his Instagram Story on May 27th that he was recovering and planned to appear on Friday, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The performance originally planned for May 29th at the Pete Be Center in San Jose, California, has been moved to June, according to the center’s owner, Pete Be.

Pete shared in a video posted to Ray J’s Instagram that they’d just had a great conversation. He said Ray J is excited and wants to deliver a high-energy performance that fans will love. They both agreed it’s important to make sure the experience is fantastic for everyone.

Ray J explained the delay with a playful message on the video, writing, “Waiting for my knot to go down…” and adding laughing emojis.

Further making light of his knockout loss, Ray J added, “Do KNOT miss my comeback on 6/27.”

I’ve been following this closely, and from what I understand, Moesha is still planning on being at R&B Night Out in Fresno on May 30th. That’s great news for all of us fans!

Ray J recently suffered a frightening knockout during a boxing match. This happened only four months after he was treated for pneumonia and revealed he was dealing with serious heart problems that could shorten his life.

The rapper announced during an Instagram live stream on January 27th that he’s finished with music by 2027. He indicated this by touching his heart and saying he was ‘done,’ suggesting a finality to his career.

He admitted he’d made a serious mistake. He’d wrongly believed he could handle a lot of alcohol and drugs – including Adderall – because of his size, but he was mistaken. He now realizes those choices significantly shortened his life.

Days earlier, the artist alleged his heart was only beating at 25 percent.

Later in the month, Ray J—father to 8-year-old Melody and 6-year-old Epik with his soon-to-be ex-wife, Princess Love—gave a more hopeful update.

He said in a video released on January 30th that he was feeling better, and his representative added that a recent doctor’s visit had been incredibly helpful.

In May 2026, the host of the BFFs podcast had emergency surgery when doctors found a large cyst on her ovary. The cyst had twisted her organs and was causing internal bleeding.

After surgery, Brianna explained in a TikTok video that doctors found about half a liter of blood inside her pelvic area. She said she has five cuts on her stomach, and the surgeons used a camera inserted through her belly button to locate the blood.

Former Total Bellas star said her breast implant moved after being hit in the chest by fellow wrestler Piper Niven during a match in July 2025.

She reassured her sister, Bella Garcia, that they would get the issue resolved eventually. Lupita Nyong’o received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids – non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus – in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her role in 12 Years a Slave.

I was absolutely devastated when she finally shared what she’d been going through. For over ten years, she’d been quietly battling this, and it broke my heart to learn she’d been ‘suffering in silence’ all that time. When she posted on Instagram in 2025, it felt like a huge weight lifted, just knowing she was finally letting us in on her struggle.

She explained that growing up, many of us are taught to expect periods to be painful and to accept that pain as a normal part of womanhood. This often leaves us dealing with a common experience in isolation.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this, but Riley Keough – yes, the Riley Keough! – had to be hospitalized back in July 2025! Apparently, she got a hernia – it’s like, a little gap in her muscle, usually in her stomach or groin – all because she was wearing super tight pants! I mean, can you even imagine? She’s so dedicated to her style, she ended up in the hospital! It’s just…so Riley.

Someone messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter) asking why she hadn’t tweeted recently. Suki jokingly replied, explaining she’d been hiding a painful injury – a hernia caused by wearing overly tight pants six months ago – and was afraid to mention it.

The former star of Beverly Hills, 90210 shared in April 2025 that he was recovering from surgery because his appendix was close to rupturing.

He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”

After receiving initial treatment from medical staff at the game, Savannah was taken to a nearby hospital for more tests. League officials reported she was in stable condition and fully conscious.

Adam Devine revealed that injuries from being hit by a cement truck at age 11 continue to cause him problems even now.

“It’s been a really difficult time,” Devine shared on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast in 2025. “I’ve been experiencing spasms all over my body, and doctors recently told me I was in a life-threatening situation—I genuinely thought I was going to die within the last year.”

He explained that his pain is intermittent, saying his body has some minor imperfections and isn’t quite working as it should.

A former contestant on The Bachelor went to the hospital because of severe back pain. He said he was in so much pain he had to crawl on his hands and knees, and the pain got worse during a road trip with a friend.

He described a lingering tingling sensation in his knees and toes during a March 2025 episode of his podcast, Trading Secrets. He explained that just a few weeks or a month prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds, but now he can’t even do a single squat or stand on one leg without falling. He compared the feeling to having a stroke.

But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

The comedian later posted on social media to explain he’d actually gotten food poisoning and was starting to feel better.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! Christy Carlson Romano – yes, the Christy from Even Stevens – told everyone back in February 2025 that she was actually SHOT in the face! Can you imagine?! It happened while she was out with her husband, Brendan Rooney, celebrating his birthday – they were clay pigeon shooting, and… well, things went terribly wrong. I’m just so worried about her!

In an Instagram post, she explained that she was accidentally shot in the face by someone at a party who fired a weapon unsafely. Brendan Rooney quickly helped her, evaluated her injuries, and drove her to the hospital. She was hit five times, and one bullet narrowly missed her right eye, coming within an inch of a direct hit.

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, even though it can be harsh, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier,” Schumer received criticism online. Surprisingly, doctors began commenting, expressing concern that she might have Cushing syndrome, a condition often linked to high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This prompted Schumer to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections for procedures like a breast reduction and C-section. She ultimately learned she had a form of Cushing syndrome that would resolve on its own, and she’s relieved to be healthy. As she shared, receiving this diagnosis and knowing she would recover was wonderful news.

In December 2024, an AHL player suffered a skate cut during a game and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly began to have stroke-like symptoms, unable to speak and noticing her face drooping. Although the symptoms briefly subsided, she went to the hospital for evaluation. Doctors discovered she had a small blood clot in her brain, which they identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack). Further testing at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). This hole allowed the blood clot to travel to her brain, causing the TIA. Hailey successfully underwent a procedure to close the PFO and is now recovering well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.

In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained that the virus affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on one side. He also shared that it had become increasingly difficult to eat.

Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, calling the situation scary but reassuring everyone that he would be completely fine and was grateful he was on the mend.

Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had initially kept private. In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, he explained that he was suffering from a severe headache when he suddenly lost consciousness. He doesn’t remember the next 20 days.

Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. There, they discovered he had a brain bleed that caused a stroke.

After surgery, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then went to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed his gratitude for all the prayers he received, saying he needed them all to get through it.

The reality TV star said she temporarily stopped breathing while running a mile during the first challenge on the NBC show.

She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, everything went dark, but she then experienced a bright light, leading her to realize she had died that day.

She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where your body essentially starts to shut down.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the show, she experienced a sudden, severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.

A hospital scan quickly revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. She immediately underwent surgery to repair the aneurysm, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, leaving her unable to speak coherently.

After a week, her speech returned, and she was discharged from the hospital after a month. However, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown, requiring a second surgery. This procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a major bleed and a dire prognosis. Doctors had to perform an incredibly risky surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.

Fortunately, Emilia is now fully recovered and says she is “at a hundred per cent.”

Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, is thankful for the support of her family. In January 2024, she suffered a stroke and her loved ones immediately came to her side. Thankfully, Cori is now recovering well. “I’m doing great,” she said. “I just had a little bit of motor skills that I had to work back on, but other than that, I was fine.”

Shailene Woodley struggled with significant health issues throughout her 20s. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she described a time when she was losing her hearing, unable to walk for more than a few minutes without needing to rest for hours, and experiencing constant stomach pain. She faced a confusing array of diagnoses and conflicting advice from doctors.

Determined to find answers, Woodley, who prefers to keep her specific condition private, combined traditional medical care with holistic and herbal remedies. This search for well-being spanned a decade.

She explained that the physical discomfort led to deeper issues, including fear of food and struggles with body image, identity, and feeling comfortable in her own body.

Ultimately, Woodley’s health journey led to recovery. “I am very healthy,” she shared, expressing her happiness to be feeling well again.
