Who killed Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) in Coronation Street?
We’re still trying to figure out what happened. The police in Weatherfield think Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) is responsible, and there’s quite a bit of evidence pointing towards her.
George Shuttleworth saw her quickly leaving where the crime happened. Her brooch was discovered at Theo’s apartment, and she destroyed several journal pages that revealed she’d thought about using a gun against her abuser.
The investigation is still ongoing and creating a lot of suspicion, with everyone blaming each other.
On today’s show, Theo’s ex-husband, Todd Grimshaw, told his friend Sarah Platt he doesn’t plan to go to the upcoming funeral.
He worried about people questioning where the money from Theo’s life insurance came from, so he decided to give it to his kids.
Sarah knew Todd shouldn’t spend the day by himself, so she convinced him to meet her for lunch at the Viaduct Bistro. Little did he know, George, Christina Boyd, Mary Taylor, and James Bailey were already there, waiting for him.
At first, Todd was upset with the situation and almost left. But he became more relaxed when the group explained they just wanted to be there for him on a very difficult day.
Watching from afar, DS Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) eyed the gathering with growing suspicion.
Danielle, Theo’s former wife who was clearly still angry, unexpectedly entered and immediately blamed Todd for Theo’s death, claiming he’d done it for the insurance money.
Mary quickly jumped in to defend Todd, playfully implying Danielle might have been the one to blame, which caused Danielle to angrily leave.
Ryan surprised her with a shocking revelation: he remembered seeing her near where Theo died. She claimed she was simply delivering a wedding cake for Lisa and Carla, but Ryan believed she might have been there for a different reason – to get revenge.
Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) was deeply upset to learn about Summer’s difficult time in jail. He had previously given a false statement to the police, claiming he hadn’t seen her around the time of the murder.
He was clearly panicked and made a hurried phone call, telling someone that Summer was upset because of something they had done.
He insisted they come up with a plan before things spiralled even further.
Did Tyrone kill Theo? Or does he know who did?
