Jennifer Lopez is teaching her kids how to live their life on the dorm floor.
Jennifer Lopez plans to be very involved in helping her 18-year-old twins, Max and Emme (whose father is Marc Anthony), move into their college dorms.
Jennifer told Jimmy Kimmel on his show that she’s handling everything as her kids prepare for college. She explained they have bedding and are packing up their rooms, letting the kids take whatever they want to their dorms.
Of course, the Maid in Manhattan star has hopes her only babies won’t stay away too long.
She figured students would quickly find their dorm rooms cramped and start feeling homesick, which, she admitted, was exactly what she was hoping for. She wants them to return home soon, and that’s her strategy.
Although Jennifer Lopez is feeling a little sad about her children growing up and leaving home, she’s also happy and excited for them as they start this new phase of their lives.
She recalled feeling eager to explore the world and pursue her own path when she was that age. She understood her children’s excitement about going to college, dismissing concerns that it would be difficult. She believes it’s a wonderful opportunity for them to follow their dreams and do what makes them happy, and she fully supports them going after what they want.
Naturally, though, emotions have been running high ahead of the twins’ high school graduations.

She remembered struggling with the yearbook entry. “It took me two whole days to write just a short message,” she said, “and I cried while doing it.”
Indeed, The Wedding Planner star admitted it’s been a tough era as a mom.
“Don’t talk about it because we start crying,” she joked. “I’ve been crying for two months.”
