As I discussed in my article about Rayman Legends Retold, the fantastic game Rayman Origins is also being remastered.
Though Ubisoft hasn’t officially announced it, a remastered version of the game is coming, called the Enhanced Edition. It will update the original PlayStation 3 game with modern improvements like 4K resolution, a smooth 60 frames per second, and several new features to improve the player experience.
Although the logo was revealed earlier this week, the game briefly appeared on the Xbox Store tonight with a listed price of $1,999. We’re pretty sure the final price will be different.
This confirms the product is genuine, and we’ll likely get more details when the Rayman Legends remake is officially announced.
Rayman Origins was a landmark game because it introduced Ubisoft’s impressive UbiArt engine, which was later used in several other excellent titles.
I remember when this game first came out in 2012, we gave it a 9 out of 10 on both the PS3 and PS Vita. Honestly, it’s one of those games that still holds up really well, and I think you’d have just as much fun playing it now as we did back then.
I would happily revisit this game for the right price. But what about you?
