Steam Just Made a PC Game 100% Free for All Users

A popular game on Steam is now available to download and keep completely free for PC players! However, you need to claim it by June 2nd to add it to your library permanently. After that, it will return to its regular price. Steam Deck owners can also grab the game, but it’s currently unknown if it will run properly on the device.

The free Steam game was first released in 2019 by Made From Strings, with publishing support from GrabTheGames. Called Moonrise Fall, it’s an atmospheric puzzle game that didn’t get much attention – it currently has only 25 user reviews. However, the vast majority of those who have reviewed it give it a positive rating, resulting in an overall “Positive” rating with 88% approval.

2019 PC Game

The new free game on Steam tells the story of a boy who becomes lost in a mysterious forest after a car accident tragically claims his parents’ lives. To find a way out, he must explore the forest, discover its secrets, and record the unusual creatures he encounters. As he does so, he’ll try to understand not only why he’s trapped, but who is responsible.

One player said what they love most in games is discovering a gorgeous world that unfolds naturally, teaching you its rules as you go. They feel this game does that perfectly, making it a huge win for them.

Someone else commented that while it’s not for everyone, it’s definitely enjoyable if you’re looking to relax and explore an interesting fictional world.

This PC game is being offered for free on Steam for the first time, and it’s likely a one-time opportunity, as free giveaways like this don’t usually happen repeatedly. While the exact length of the game isn’t known, player reviews suggest it takes between 5 and 10 hours to complete.
