The highly anticipated Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve has a release date, revealed in a brand new, thrilling trailer. Gamers are already calling it one of the most exciting games of 2026.
Bandai Namco is preparing to launch its exciting new fighter jet game on October 2nd, 2026, and early looks are very promising.
I’m so hooked on this game! You’re basically a pilot stuck on this old aircraft carrier, the Endurance, fighting to reclaim Usea. But here’s the thing – they need a hero to rally everyone, so you end up pretending to be this legendary figure called the Wings of Theve. It’s a cool story, playing the part of a hero even when things are tough on the ship with a limited crew.
Like other games in the series, the biggest draw of this new installment is its campaign. Expect a wide range of exciting missions where you’ll battle enemy pilots, ground forces, and massive, futuristic weapons.
It looks like AC8 is putting more emphasis on its story and characters, and it’s heavily influenced by the movie Top Gun: Maverick.
I’m really excited to play this game, and we finally have a release date! It’s a shame, though, that it’s launching so close after an incredibly busy month for game releases.
