Sony is getting frustrated with low-quality games being released for the PS5 and is now quickly removing them from the store.
We’ve previously covered the removal of many low-quality games from the PlayStation Store, and Sony continues to actively remove them.
Acyntha, a small independent game developer, has had its contract with PlayStation cancelled.
The studio announced on X (formerly Twitter) that its games will be removed from Sony’s online store at the end of the month. These games include titles like Pizza No Pizza and New Supper Banana.
While these games aren’t as bad as some we’ve seen – like Jumping Sushi – they’re all very easy to get Platinum Trophies in, and that seems to be their only real goal.
I’m curious about Sony’s process for handling these game releases. It’s great they’re eventually removing them, but I’d like to understand why they can’t prevent these titles from being listed on the PlayStation Store in the first place.
It’s obvious the manufacturer is finally addressing the unacceptable content on their storefront, and it’s about time.
