Cassie Ventura Moves Out of the U.S. After Testifying in Diddy’s Trial

Cassie Ventura has moved on to greener pastures—literally.

In connection with the ongoing legal issues involving Clayton Howard – who sued her and Sean “Diddy” Combs in 2025 regarding past events he participated in at Combs’ direction – the 39-year-old stated that she has moved out of the United States.

In a court document filed in May and reviewed by TopMob News on June 3rd, Britney Ventura stated she is a U.S. citizen but does not currently live in California. This filing was part of an effort to either drop the lawsuit or move it to a different location.

The singer stated in the document that they currently live outside the US and have no plans to return.

Ventura explained that it would be much easier for him to travel to New York to handle the case, as his legal team is located there. He pointed out that no one involved in the case lives in California.

TopMob News has reached out to Ventura’s rep for comment but has not yet heard back.

According to a May 1st legal filing by Ventura’s lawyers, and reviewed by TopMob News on June 1st, Ventura claims that in 2023, after she publicly accused Sean Combs of abuse and assault, Howard sent a message of support to her husband, Alex Fine.

The message claims, “I completely believe your wife is telling the truth, and I’m sure you did too.” It also expresses relief that she received some kind of justice and says the sender wishes they had been the one to speak up.

He added, “Please tell her Clayton says he’s happy she made it out.”

The document also referred to Howard’s lawsuit as “baseless.”

In spring 2025, Ventura testified in the federal case against Combs. Heavily pregnant with her and Fine’s third child at the time, she described how she was pressured into participating in the “Freak Offs” and recounted a physical assault by Combs in a hotel hallway in 2016.

The rapper received a 50-month prison sentence after being convicted of transporting individuals for the purpose of prostitution. He was found not guilty on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.

Following his sentencing, Ventura’s lawyer emphasized the significance of his conviction.

In a statement to NBC News in October, attorneys Douglas Wigdor and Meredith Firetog acknowledged that while the harm caused by Combs cannot be undone, today’s sentence does reflect the severity of his crimes.

They expressed confidence that Ms. Ventura will keep getting better with the love and encouragement of her family and friends, adding that her courage has inspired many people.

For more insight into the case brought against Combs, read on.

At the hearing on October 3, 2025, the judge sentenced him to over four years in prison—specifically, 50 months—along with a $500,000 fine and five years of supervised release.

The musician publicly apologized to Cassie Ventura and Jane, identified as victims, during his court sentencing on October 3rd. This was the first time he had spoken about the case in court.

Combs stated that the experience of domestic violence will stay with him for life. He described his behavior as ‘disgusting, shameful, and sick,’ admitting he was struggling with drug use and lacked control. He acknowledged needing help, which he didn’t receive, and stated he isn’t trying to justify his actions.

He went on to share how the case has impacted him.

He explained that he was simply doing his best, but got carried away with pride and excess. As a result of his choices, he lost his freedom, couldn’t be there for his family – his children and his mother – and lost everything he’d built: his businesses, his career, and his good name. Most importantly, he lost his own self-respect. He feels completely humbled, broken, and stripped bare, admitting he deeply dislikes who he has become.

Judge Arun Subramanian set Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sentencing for October 3, 2025. The judge also refused to grant Combs bail before the sentencing, explaining that his history of violence meant he should stay in jail.

Following the trial, after Sean “Diddy” Combs was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges involving his former partners, Cassie and “Jane Doe,” but convicted of transporting them for the purpose of prostitution, his attorney responded to the jury’s decisions.

Attorney Douglas Wigdor stated on July 2nd that the legal proceedings began when his client, Cassie Ventura, bravely filed a civil lawsuit in November 2023. While the jury didn’t find enough evidence to convict Combs of sex trafficking, Ventura’s actions allowed them to find him liable for transporting someone for the purpose of prostitution. Wigdor emphasized that by sharing her story, Ventura has significantly impacted both the entertainment industry and the pursuit of justice.

Acknowledging the accusations—to which Combs entered a plea of not guilty—Wigdor stated, “We want to clearly reaffirm our belief in and support for our client, who demonstrated remarkable bravery during this legal process.”

Wigdor also commended Ventura for her testimony, as she was one of 34 witnesses during the nearly month-long trial involving Combs.

He stated that she demonstrated remarkable courage and shed light on the harmful behavior of influential men, as well as the decades of unchecked misconduct. He emphasized that this case clearly shows the need for significant change, and they will continue to support those who have experienced harm.

When Combs learned he was found not guilty on three of the five charges against him, he dropped to his knees and bowed his head as if in prayer, NBC News reporters in the courtroom observed. He had faced a potential life sentence if convicted on all counts.

According to reports, Combs’ family members were in the courtroom and reacted with applause and cheers to the verdict. His lawyers embraced each other, and Combs shared a hug with his attorney, Brian Steel.

After three days of discussion, the jury of twelve reached a decision in the sex trafficking trial of Combs on July 2nd. They found him guilty on two counts related to transporting former girlfriends, Ventura and another woman known only as “Jane,” for the purpose of prostitution.

Sean Combs, who maintained his innocence, was acquitted of one charge of conspiracy to commit racketeering and two counts of sex trafficking.

The jury informed Judge Arun Subramanian they couldn’t agree on the racketeering charge before delivering their final decision, citing firmly held, differing opinions. The judge urged them to keep discussing the case, and they ultimately reached a verdict a few hours after resuming deliberations the next day.

Prosecutor Christy Slavik spent nearly five hours summarizing the case for the jury, arguing that Sean “Diddy” Combs used intimidation, violence, and his influence to control people and get what he desired.

She explained that he was impossible to dissuade. He considered everything his own and expected everyone around him to cater to his needs.

Slavik highlighted two instances of alleged abuse by Combs: a physical assault on his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in 2016, and a more recent alleged assault in 2024 on a girlfriend who is being referred to as “Jane” during the trial.

Although eight years apart, these two events are connected, representing different parts of the same overall story. That story centers on Sean Combs and the criminal activity he oversaw with the help of those closest to him.

The criminal organization repeatedly fulfilled the defendant’s wishes using a consistent pattern of violence, intimidation, and control, she explained. The defendant believed that silence and the shame of others would conceal his crimes, and he thought his celebrity, money, and influence meant the law wouldn’t apply to him.

Slavik claimed that during the trial, Combs relied on a large team of assistants dedicated to fulfilling his every need, bolstering his image, and shielding him from any negative publicity.

The prosecutors filed a request with the court to change some of their arguments in the attempted arson and kidnapping case.

Despite still being charged with racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking – including allegations of kidnapping and arson – prosecutors have dropped specific attempted kidnapping and arson charges under California and New York law, as well as the charge of helping with sex trafficking. This change was detailed in a letter dated June 24th.

The government also stated it hopes using simpler language will make the instructions easier to follow and prevent misunderstandings.

Combs told JudgeSubramanian that he will not take the stand during his sex trafficking trial.

The judge made it clear that whether or not the defendant chose to testify, no one – not even the jurors – could assume his guilt based on his silence.

Combs admitted he discussed with his team whether or not to testify, but insisted the decision was entirely his own.

“I’ve thought this through carefully, and this is what I’ve decided,” he told the judge. “It’s my decision, and I stand by it.”

Diddy’s lawyer, Teny Garagos, informed the judge that both sides – the defense and the prosecution – anticipate needing around four hours each to deliver their closing statements.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the case closely, and things are shifting gears now that Special Agent Joseph Cerciello has finished his testimony for the prosecution. It looks like Sean Combs’ legal team has decided against calling any witnesses of their own. They’re going to build their defense by focusing on the evidence that’s already been presented, which is a strategic move we’re seeing more and more these days.

During his June 23rd testimony, the jury saw explicit videos reportedly from Sean Combs’ parties – often referred to as “freak offs” – which were presented as evidence, according to NBC News reporters present in the courtroom.

The agent reported finding 50 explicit videos from 2021 and 2022, but the jury only viewed two of them, using headphones and individual screens.

In voicemails from June 23rd to his former chief of staff, Kristina Khorram, Sean Combs outlined requests he made while staying at a hotel in November 2021. These included asking for more baby oil, which he said he frequently used when experiencing intense emotional outbursts.

He told Khorram to have them call him before starting their journey. He added, seemingly surprised to be out, “I can’t believe I’m out. Load twenty bottles into this vehicle.”

So, my client, Khorram, decided to stay an extra night at the hotel, and she let me know with a simple ‘OK.’ Then, she told me the baby oil I’d requested was just outside the door – super convenient! It’s all about those little comforts when you’re traveling, and I’m glad everything worked out so smoothly.

According to text messages, his ex-employee told him she was setting up an IV drip for him and Jane, which he’d previously used to help recover after intense competitions.

She also made sure that there were Plan-B pills, an emergency contraceptive, in his nightstand.

The jury saw text messages between Combs and Ventura where Ventura openly described the emotional and psychological harm she claimed she suffered due to the alleged abuse.

In March 2017, after Combs suggested they take a break from their on-again, off-again relationship (which lasted from 2007 to 2018), Ventura responded that she didn’t want to, explaining she didn’t want to be criticized for standing up for herself and that Combs made her feel unimportant.

In another instance, she further accused her ex of physically assaulting her.

In a letter from May, Ventura described a painful experience, stating that after showing affection, she was met with hurtful behavior. She wrote about being physically harmed and emotionally overwhelmed, feeling disconnected from the situation as if it were happening to someone else. She emphasized that this was no longer acceptable and that she was deeply affected, describing a moment where even witnessing her own strength felt beautiful amidst the pain. She also noted her age, 30, suggesting a desire to be treated with maturity and respect.

Brendan Paul, who worked as Sean Combs’ assistant from 2022 to 2024, testified that he bought drugs for Combs several times. These drugs included marijuana, 2C, cocaine, ketamine, and ecstasy.

Paul explained that they would contact the drug dealer by text, and the dealer would then come to one of their houses. He said he initially met the dealer through text messages or phone calls, and also mentioned being fired from jobs multiple times for things like forgetting a Lululemon fanny pack.

However, Paul vehemently denied being a “drug mule” for the rap mogul.

On June 18th, Judge Subramanian ended court for the day because one of the jurors was unable to return due to illness. Court will also be closed on June 19th for the Juneteenth holiday.

The judge explained that a juror is unwell and unable to attend court. They had a dizzy spell and had to leave. Because this juror is a regular member of the jury, the judge stated they won’t be able to continue with the trial today.

The judge acknowledged uncertainty about whether the juror’s sudden dizziness, nausea, and headaches would pass quickly or become a lasting problem, and stated they would keep the situation under review.

Because of the Juneteenth holiday on June 19th, Judge Subramanian announced the trial will continue on June 20th with a shorter schedule, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Just after Judge Subramanian removed Juror No. 6 due to inconsistent answers about where they live, another juror is now potentially facing removal. This juror reportedly had an inappropriate conversation about the case with a past coworker. The judge questioned the juror and asked to examine their phone, according to NBC News.

By the end of the court session on June 16th, a decision about whether to dismiss the member hadn’t been reached.

Kanye West showed up at the New York City courthouse on June 13th to support Sean Combs. West was there for about half an hour and spent some time in the waiting area, but didn’t go into the courtroom itself. The courtroom was reserved for Combs’ family, lawyers, the press, and members of the public who had waited in line for hours to get a seat.

I remember hearing about a fight they had after Jane took a trip to Las Vegas with another rapper and his wife. It caused a lot of drama, and honestly, I was shocked when I found out!

She stated that this behavior escalated to secretly watching sexual activity. Specifically, she described soliciting Anton, a sex worker she and Combs frequently employed, and witnessing a group of people watching him engage in sexual activity with a woman in a hotel room during their travels.

Jane informed Combs’ lawyer, Geragos, that the music executive was angry because he believed she had gone to a sexually suggestive party with another man.

On the 21st day of the Combs trial, a federal prosecutor, Maurene Comey, announced that the prosecution wants to dismiss one of the jurors.

She told Judge Subramanian, just before the jury came in, that they were hesitant to submit the letter because it seemed dishonest and created significant concerns for them.

Defense lawyer Alexandra Shapiro, noting that Juror No. 6 is one of the Black jurors, requested a day or two to submit a written response and review relevant legal precedents.

Judge Subramanian stated he would postpone addressing any practical matters concerning the juror until a ruling is reached.

On June 10th, Jane and Garagos had a heated discussion where Garagos suggested the witness was exchanging sexual favors for expensive gifts.

Attorney Mark Geragos reviewed text messages from November 2021 between Jane Doe and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. The messages revealed the witness was distressed to learn Combs was having sexual relations with other women. She specifically asked him if he had given one of these women a Chanel bag afterwards.

Jane said that she didn’t get a Chanel purse from Combs, telling Garagos that she “got trauma.”

When the attorney asked what a Bottega bag was, she replied, “I’m sure you have one.”

And when Geragos asked how much the item costs, Jane asked, “How much does my body cost?”

Jane was granted a 10-minute break following the exchange.

Okay, so this is going to sound crazy, but I’ve been following everything about Sean and his relationships for years. I remember around 2022, Jane started talking about how she’d researched their sex life, and honestly, it was wild. She actually believed Sean liked the idea of her with other people – she used this term, ‘cuckhold,’ which I had to look up myself. Apparently, it’s someone who gets off on watching their partner with someone else, and she genuinely thought that’s what was going on with them. It was… a lot to process, even for a dedicated follower like me.

Honestly, I’ve been completely obsessed with understanding why people get off on watching their partners with others. That’s what drove all my research, you know? I just needed to really get into the psychology of it all, to figure out what’s going on in their heads and what makes it so… satisfying for them. It’s just fascinating, and I had to dig deep to really understand the reasons behind it.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following this case closely, and one theory that’s emerged is really intriguing. It suggests that Mr. Combs’ interest in these… encounters, which bear a striking resemblance to what Mr. Ventura described, might stem from a personal exploration of his own sexuality. It’s a sensitive topic, of course, but it’s being considered as a possible motivation behind his behavior.

She explained that some individuals might be secretly curious about things they’re too embarrassed to try personally, and instead live vicariously through another person’s experiences.

Jane stated she’d given the escort, Paul—whom she and Combs hired several times—the nickname “Trifecta,” explaining she likened their sexual relationship to the winning performance of basketball players.

“I was Kobe Bryant and Paul was Shaq [O’Neil],” she told jurors. “Combs was Michael Jordan.”

She said Paul was a kind person and, reflecting on past experiences with sex workers, mentioned she preferred those who seemed genuinely warm and friendly.

Jane stated that the relationship between Combs and Khorram caused problems in her own romantic involvement with the music executive.

Honestly, it was her, always with Sean. It was so frustrating for me and our relationship, I just couldn’t stand it! I really think she was totally obsessed with me, and it completely messed with how Sean acted towards me. It felt like she was constantly trying to control things, and he let her. It was awful!

On June 10th, Judge Subramanian rejected a request from Combs’ lawyers to halt the trial. The lawyers claimed that Ventura and her friend, Bryana Bongolan, falsely stated that Combs had threatened Bongolan by holding her over a 17th-floor balcony.

His attorneys, who had previously asked for a mistrial but were turned down, claimed in their latest filing that the prosecution acted improperly by presenting false testimony.

According to a recent letter, the government presented evidence in court that they either knew was false, or should have known was false, regarding their claim that Sean Combs threatened Bryana Bongolan by holding her over the balcony of Cassie Ventura’s apartment in September 2016. The letter argues that because of this, the trial should be declared a mistrial to prevent an unjust conviction.

Jane alleged that the rap mogul had beaten her for hours June 2024.

Jane stated that an argument with Combs started because he was seeing a much younger woman – 25 years his junior, she said. This argument escalated, leading Jane to call him a deeply offensive name and physically assault him by pushing his head into a marble countertop.

The witness stated she hid in the main bedroom, and Sean Combs started trying to break down the door. (Pictures of the damaged door were shown as evidence.) She claims that while attempting to escape, Combs kicked her in the back of her leg, causing her to fall.

She told the prosecutors that he grabbed her in a chokehold, pinning her to the ground and lifting her up until she couldn’t breathe. She was desperately trying to escape his hold, and was forced to stand on her toes.

Jane stated she fled her house and hid behind an outside wall for about two hours, hoping the person would go away, but they didn’t. She then said they both went back to his house, and she curled up in the backyard to shield herself while he allegedly attacked her.

Jane testified that the fight worsened when Combs supposedly hit her. She told the court he began punching her in the head, then kicked her, and continued to hit her while yelling.

She alleged that he told her that she was “trying to take him away from his kids and his family.”

She testified that she told him, “No, I’m not. Please just leave me alone, just leave. Please stop.” She said he then grabbed her arm and hair, and began dragging her back towards the house, pulling her by her hair and arm.

Following the reported attack, Jane stated she had two raised bumps about the size of golf balls on her forehead and a black eye.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following this story closely. From what I understand, Jane has stated that Homeland Security Investigations raided her home – a home Sean Combs actually covered the expenses for back in March 2023 – along with several other properties he owns. She says the agents arrived at her place, and her immediate reaction was to reach out to Combs’ head of security to let him know what was happening.

In December 2023, Jane claimed a powerful person threatened to share intimate videos of them with the father of her child.

Jane testified that as her relationship with Combs fell apart, he told her he had nothing to lose by releasing the videos. She described the situation as a relentless series of pressure-filled phone calls.

Jane texted Khorram about what happened, and this conversation was later shown as evidence. In her messages, Jane stated that Combs was threatening to release a video, and she claimed she was “heavily drugged” in it.

She explained she needed space from Combs to heal from the emotional pain he had inflicted.

Jane told the court that Khorram assured her that Combs would not use the footage.

During her court testimony, Jane stated that certain claims made in Ventura’s November 2023 lawsuit – which was eventually resolved – matched what she herself went through with Combs.

Honestly, it was a really tough moment on the stand. I was so overwhelmed, I actually felt like I was going to faint – and looking back, I think I might have briefly. What really got to me were these three pages – they described exactly what I was going through, and it was just incredibly painful to revisit those details.

Jane, a participant in the “hotel nights” events, said the experience felt deeply personal, like watching her own life unfold. This prompted her to reach out to Combs directly via text message.

After Ventura filed her lawsuit, she wrote, according to evidence presented, that reading it felt like reliving her own sexual trauma. She described feeling deeply disturbed, stating the lawsuit detailed, ‘word for word,’ the ‘drug-filled days and nights’ she had experienced, and accused Ventura of anticipating the situation and manipulating her into questioning her own sanity.

The messages expressed feelings of disgust and being pressured into repeated sexual acts. The sender felt invalidated and dismissed regarding their trauma, leading to feelings of violation and the belief that what happened was sexual exploitation.

Combs then called Jane and, without telling her he was recording, captured their conversation. This recording was presented as evidence, and in it, Combs told Jane they had shared experiences and that he needed her presence at a specific time.

Unaware she was being recorded, Jane told Combs she felt nauseous after reviewing Ventura’s documents.

Jane stated that during her involvement with Combs and male escorts in events called “Hotel Nights,” she frequently used ecstasy. However, on one occasion, she chose not to use any drugs while being intimate with three men.

Let me tell you, sometimes nights just go sideways, right? I was seeing a couple of guys, and honestly, I ended up feeling really sick – I actually threw up. Thankfully, Sean was there. He came in, was really sweet, and said I’d feel better if we got some fresh air, so we headed outside. It was one of those moments where someone just tries to help when you’re at your lowest.

Jane said that at the end of the night, she felt “absolutely terrible.”
