It appears a new version of the arena fighter JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven is coming to PS5. The game originally launched on PS4 in 2016, and this news comes from the Brazilian ratings board.
It appears that CyberConnect2 is planning to release JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven R on all gaming platforms, likely to appeal to a broader range of players.
Bandai Namco previously released JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R, which updated the popular PS3 fighting game with fresh content and a continuing series of updates through its Season Pass.
Given its huge popularity in manga and anime, and especially with the recent success of Steel Ball Run, it wouldn’t be surprising to see JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure announced at one of the upcoming summer gaming events.
When Eyes of Heaven came out in 2016, my coworker Rob wasn’t a fan. He rated it a 5 out of 10 and said the gameplay felt poorly made.
Hopefully, this update will make things better. And while we’re at it, it would be great to see Capcom bring one of their classic PlayStation 1 fighting games to current consoles!
