Immersive Co-Op RPG is Coming to Nintendo Switch 2 Very Soon (And D&D Fans Won’t Want to Miss It)

As a huge RPG player, I’m really excited about how the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 is bringing a lot more RPGs to the Nintendo library. The original Switch was starting to feel outdated, and now the Switch 2 is allowing Nintendo to catch up with some fantastic titles. We’ve already seen major RPGs like Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and yet another version of Skyrim come to the system. Now, one of my favorite RPGs to play with friends is also coming to the Nintendo Switch 2! If you enjoy tabletop RPGs, especially Dungeons & Dragons, this is definitely a game to watch.

The game Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 16th. First launched on PC and PS5 in November 2025, Battlemarked combines the Demeo system with Dungeons & Dragons gameplay, offering a truly engaging tabletop RPG experience whether you play alone or with others. I’ve had a blast playing this virtual tabletop game with friends, and I’m excited it’s coming to the Nintendo Switch 2.

Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked Sets Nintendo Switch 2 Release Date

Battlemarked brings the fun of playing a tabletop role-playing game with friends to a virtual space. It features various adventures and campaigns, all within the Dungeons & Dragons universe. The game’s rules blend elements of Demeo and D&D, which might feel a little different for experienced D&D players. However, the dice rolls and card interactions are smooth and captivating, and the virtual table is beautifully designed, creating a great atmosphere for a TTRPG session.

Even if you’ve never played Dungeons & Dragons, Battlemarked is a great tactical RPG to enjoy with friends. It offers a nice variety of gameplay, from short, quick adventures to longer campaigns, making it perfect for either a fast co-op session or a more extended experience. While you can play Battlemarked solo, controlling the entire party, it truly shines as a cooperative game – the characters and battles are just more enjoyable when played with others.

Since its release in 2025, Battlemarked has been well-received, earning a ‘Very Positive’ rating on Steam and a score of 80 on Metacritic. The developers have consistently added significant free updates, including new storylines, characters, and features. It was also the first game of its kind to be verified for the Steam Deck, allowing players to enjoy it on the go. Now, with the launch of the Switch 2, fans will have another handheld option for playing this tactical RPG.

Starting June 16th, you’ll be able to play Battlemarked on Switch 2 and team up with friends no matter where they are – whether they’re on Steam, Meta Horizon, or PlayStation 5! The game will cost $29.99 on the Nintendo eShop, just like on other systems, and you can add it to your wishlist today.
