PS5, PS4’s Vengeance Edition Helps Shin Megami Tensei 5 Reach 2 Million Sales

Atlus announced that the sales of Shin Megami Tensei V have now exceeded 2 million copies, a milestone achieved due to the popularity of its multi-platform version, known as the Vengeance Edition.

Initially, the Role-Playing Game (RPG) was only available on Nintendo Switch. However, approximately 2.5 years following its initial release, an updated version became accessible on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. The Vengeance edition has since surpassed one million copies sold, raising the total sales for both versions to over two million.

To honor this significant achievement, the Digital Deluxe Version of the game is temporarily discounted by 50% on the PlayStation Store until August 13th, with a price tag of £29.99 or $31.49. The franchise’s Twitter account expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from so many fans: “We truly appreciate your kindness,” they said. “We humbly request your continued backing for Atlus and Megaten.

Last month, Sega inadvertently disclosed sales figures for various games, revealing that Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance has cumulatively sold 2.11 million copies. Additionally, the report indicated that 7.25 million units of Persona 5 Royal were sold, along with 4.57 million units for Sonic Frontiers and 1.66 million for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
