For several years now, the complete reintroduction of the Digimon Card Game has taken place. Now, this fresh iteration of the Trading Card Game (TCG) is on the verge of stepping into the digital realm. Coming soon is Digimon Alysion, Digimon’s forthcoming mobile TCG. While it shares similarities with Pokemon TCG Pocket, the game aims to offer a narrative-focused experience as it brings its card game to the digital sphere. In the near future, eager Digimon enthusiasts will get an exclusive sneak peek at the game through an upcoming closed beta test.
Back in March, we got our first glimpse of Digimon Alysion. Since then, we’ve had a peek at the gameplay mechanics, with a recent trailer showcasing one of the new Digimon introduced in the game. We’ve been introduced to the main characters, including the latest addition to the roster, Gemmon, who acts as the player’s companion. The gameplay style seems reminiscent of popular mobile Trading Card Games (TCGs) such as Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh: Master Duel. However, what sets it apart is its more complex narrative, which distinguishes it from simpler battle and collection-focused games like Pokemon TCG Pocket.
More recently, Digimon Alysion showcased practical demonstrations at gatherings such as Anime Expo. But, the forthcoming phase of closed beta testing will mark the initial opportunity for many enthusiasts to preview the game ahead of time.

Beginning on July 28th and ending on August 3rd, applications for the closed beta test of Digimon Alysion are open. If you’re interested, head over to the official Digimon Alysion website to submit your application. Keep in mind that the actual beta testing is scheduled for August 2025, and further details will be shared as we get closer to the testing period.
Who Can Apply to Beta Test Digimon Alysion
A grand total of 10,000 individuals are set to receive invitations for the trial of our new mobile game. Should we receive applications beyond this number, the selection process will utilize a fair lottery system to choose the participants.
As a fan excitedly applying, I must meet certain requirements: I should be 13 years old or older, and have an active email address to participate. Regardless if you’re an iOS or Android user, you’re eligible, but there are some specifics for each platform. For Android users, ensure your device is running Android 11 or later with a minimum of 8GB RAM. Apple users, make sure your system is on iOS 15 or newer and has at least 4GB of RAM. Unfortunately, for this test, only smartphones are supported; iPads and other tablets aren’t compatible.
To give Digimon Alysion a spin as a play-tester, simply complete the application form available on the official site. The process is quite simple and shouldn’t take longer than a couple of minutes. When filling out the application, make sure to include a legitimate email address linked with your Apple ID or Google Play account, along with some basic information like your location, phone type, age, and previous experience with Digimon and trading card games (TCGs).
Those who applied for the beta test will receive an email confirmation if they are chosen to participate. While there’s no specific date for when these notifications will go out, given that the application deadline is August 3rd and the beta test is scheduled for August, you can expect updates soon after the deadline passes.
The mobile app, referred to as Digimon Alysion, serves as a portable version of the physical Digimon Card Game. At this point, its launch on Android and iOS platforms is imminent, though the specific rollout date remains undisclosed.
