My Hero Academia Unveils Trailer For an Upcoming New Project

The anime adaptation of My Hero Academia recently finished its main storyline, but that doesn’t mean the series is over. While the conclusion has left fans with mixed emotions, there’s still more to come. Based on Kohei Horikoshi’s popular manga, which ended in August, the anime first aired in 2016 and quickly gained fans worldwide thanks to its creative powers and engaging story. The anime covered the intense final battle between the heroes and All For One and Tomura Shigaraki, and also showed what happened afterward as the young heroes became professional heroes. Next year marks the anime’s 10th anniversary, and at Jump Festa 2026, new projects were announced. Jump Festa is a major anime and manga event where Shueisha—the publisher of magazines like Weekly Shonen Jump—reveals updates on its series. This year’s event featured My Hero Academia on the first day, and a new website has been launched to share news about the anniversary and upcoming projects.

My Hero Academia Teases More 10th Anniversary Projects in The Future

I’m so hyped! They just revealed a gorgeous key visual showing Deku’s evolution throughout the series, and even bigger news – a special concert for Yuki Hayashi, the composer behind over 200 incredible songs for the anime! It’s starting in Japan on May 30th, 2026, and then going on a world tour. But get this – they’re also making a special new anime episode! It’s going to premiere globally on May 2nd, 2026, and I seriously can’t wait!

I’m so excited for this special episode, titled “More”! It’s going to adapt chapter 431 of the manga, which is a fantastic epilogue that takes place after the main story ends. This chapter was only available in the final volume of the manga, and it’s amazing to see what everyone from Class 1-A, the Big Three, and all the pro heroes are up to after the timeskip. It’s basically a fun get-together where they reveal their hero rankings, and it really focuses on what Ochako Uraraka has been up to – I can’t wait to see it!

The special episode will launch globally on Crunchyroll, which also has all previous seasons available to watch. We haven’t seen a preview or image of the episode yet. Plus, the website hints at at least two more announcements coming soon, and possibly even more beyond that. With a few months still to go before the anniversary, we can expect updates, potentially in the first three months of next year.
