With so many games coming out in September, I’m seriously tempted to just relax in a bathtub – even if it means risking electrocution with a plugged-in toaster! It’s that overwhelming.
The prequel, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, launches on August 27th, which is so close to September that it feels like it’s bundled right into the busy release schedule of that month.
On the upside, the game will cost $59.99, which is basically budget pricing these days.
Here’s the blurb from the press release:
Experience a new story set 15 years before A Plague Tale: Requiem. Play as Sophia, a brave and resourceful young woman fleeing from danger while trying to learn the truth about her history. This adventure combines action-packed combat, intriguing mythology, and a unique perspective within the world of A Plague Tale.
Sophia travels to the island of the Minotaur, where she must overcome dangerous challenges, tricky paths, and complex puzzles, all while evading the army pursuing her. However, the biggest test lies ahead, as she will soon discover a terrifying connection to the creature behind the legend.
The further you explore the island, the more you’ll uncover the truth about an ancient curse.
I haven’t finished playing A Plague Tale: Requiem, so I’m not quite ready to discuss this just yet.
I did eventually grow to love the first A Plague Tale: Innocence game, especially after playing it again on the PS5.
