4A Games recently gave fans another glimpse of Metro 2039, the next installment in the Metro series, and it appears to be a very atmospheric and frightening game.

Metro 2033 was a straightforward, scary first-person shooter focused on surviving, and Metro 2039 appears to be taking the same route.
Honestly, watching the new trailer, that’s the vibe I’m totally getting – the game looks seriously dark and gritty, and the environments are genuinely creepy. It’s really leaning into that whole atmosphere.
The video reveals the game is expected to launch around February 2027, meaning players will have to wait a bit longer to experience it.
