As a huge Halo fan, I was really surprised by the new trailer for Halo: Campaign Evolved. It turns out all the gameplay footage was captured on a PlayStation 5 Pro! I know Campaign Evolved is coming to PS5 – which is a first for the Halo series – but seeing Xbox showcase footage from a PlayStation console is just… unexpected. It kind of makes me think the PS5 Pro might actually be the best way to play the game, which would be a strange situation for Xbox. But honestly, the PS5 Pro is the most powerful console out there right now, so maybe it’s not that shocking that it can deliver an even better looking and smoother experience.
As previously announced, Halo: Campaign Evolved will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC on July 28th. If you’d like to start playing sooner, you can get early access on July 23rd by purchasing either the Premium Edition or the Collector’s Edition.
