Warner Bros., which previously distributed the movies, has declined to finance the project, but Amazon, Universal, and Sony Pictures are all interested in taking over. Despite turning 81, Miller intends to direct one last Mad Max movie, followed by a TV series, and then sell the rights to the franchise.
