An anonymous source on X (formerly Twitter) hinted at potential financial issues for Sony, suggesting recent losses on the Concord project might be overshadowed by future ones. When someone inquired about a release date for the next God of War game, the insider responded with a GIF confirming 2026. It’s unknown if these two posts are connected, but they likely aren’t.
The upcoming God of War Laufey could face difficulties if it launches in 2026. There are already some concerning signs and negative reactions surrounding the game. The biggest issue is timing: releasing near GTA 6 would likely be overshadowed, but trying to avoid GTA 6 means competing with a huge influx of other games all vying for attention.
