Trump’s Crypto Firm WLFI Is Dropping $250K In Stablecoin Bonuses At UFC White House Showdown

Trump’s Crypto Firm WLFI Backs UFC Freedom 250 With $250K in Stablecoin Fighter Bonuses

World Liberty Financial is giving its USD1 stablecoin—a cryptocurrency associated with the Trump family—directly to UFC fighters at this Sunday’s Freedom 250 event held at the White House. This represents one of the most public uses of this particular crypto so far.

 • Key Takeaways:

 • WLFI contributes $250,000 to UFC Freedom 250 bonuses, with Performance of the Night paid in USD1 stablecoin.
 • Polymarket traders placed $4.1M in bets across 18 markets, led by $2M on Topuria vs. Gaethje.
 • Ilia Topuria enters the White House main event on June 14 as an 80% favorite over Justin Gaethje.

WLFI Puts $250K Into the Bonus Pool

The Trump-linked crypto firm announced it would serve as the presenting partner of a new Performance of the Night bonus pool for UFC Freedom 250, the mixed martial arts event taking place June 14, 2026, on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, D.C. UFC CEO Dana White confirmed the details at a press conference on Friday at the Lincoln Memorial.

Dana White announced that World Liberty Financial is sponsoring the event and contributing an extra $250,000 to fighter bonuses. This means fighters awarded Fight of the Night will now receive $400,000 apiece, while those earning Performance of the Night bonuses will get $425,000 each.

The WLFI-funded portion of those bonuses will be distributed in USD1, the company’s U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin. Combined with a separate $1 million CRO bonus from Crypto.com for Fight of the Night winners, the total payout pool reaches approximately $1.65 million, a record for UFC post-fight bonuses.

Who Is WLFI

World Liberty Financial is a Delaware-based crypto venture co-founded in 2024 by Donald Trump and his sons, with Trump publicly listed as “Chief Crypto Advocate.” Trump’s financial disclosures have listed WLFI holdings valued at over $50 million.

UFC CEO Zach Witkoff highlighted the partnership as a way to showcase the potential of USD1 beyond typical banking services.

According to a WLFI executive, any positive outcome from Washington should result in people seeing benefits right away, not after a delay until banks are open.

Witkoff added:

USD1 provides quicker and easier access to U.S. dollars. We envision it as the future of financial transactions and are thrilled to be working with UFC.

You’ll see WLFI logos both inside the fighting cage (the octagon) and on the TV broadcast of upcoming UFC events. The companies hinted at this deal around June 10th, and UFC officially announced all the specifics the next Friday.

Polymarket Bets Cross $4.1 Million

Prediction market traders have put more than $4.1 million in volume across 18 UFC Freedom 250 markets on Polymarket heading into Sunday’s card.

The biggest market by volume is the Gaethje vs. Topuria headliner at $2 million, with Ilia Topuria priced as an 80% favorite. The co-main event between Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title drew $1 million in bets, with Pereira holding a razor-thin 51% edge.

In other fights, the predictions are more decisive. Sean O’Malley is heavily favored to win against Aiemann Zahabi, with an estimated 79% chance. Similarly, Mauricio Ruffy has an 81% chance of beating Michael Chandler, Josh Hokit is expected to win against Derrick Lewis with a 78% probability, and Bo Nickal is predicted to defeat Kyle Daukaus with a 73% chance.

The Side Markets

People are also betting on what will happen during the event, beyond the main contests. Predictions on Polymarket suggest a very high likelihood (94%) that Elon Musk will attend. There’s also a strong expectation (86%) that Donald Trump will say “White House” during his remarks. Other popular bets include a 70% chance Trump will dance, a 58% chance he’ll wear a red tie, and a 52% chance he’ll give someone a hug. Interestingly, there’s a near certainty (99% odds) that the announcers will mention “White House” at some point.

Finally, bets on the weather and how the fight will end are available. Most people are betting that there will be more than 2.5 knockouts (57%), and there’s a roughly 31% chance the fight could be delayed due to weather.

Bread and Circuses

The event has faced strong criticism from both politicians and scholars. Cornell classics professor Mike Fontaine compared it to the tactics of ancient Roman leaders who used grand displays to distract the public, referencing the famous phrase “bread and circuses” to illustrate how critics view the event.

Those who support the event view it as a meaningful celebration of American sports and patriotism, coinciding with Flag Day, President Trump’s birthday, and the lead-up to the nation’s 250th anniversary. A judge permitted the event to take place after a legal challenge to stop it failed.

The fights start at 8:00 PM Eastern Time on Paramount+. The main event will be Topuria versus Gaethje.
