Crimson Desert is constantly improving with regular updates from the development team. While we’ll be sad when the game reaches its final form, there’s plenty of new content to enjoy now thanks to Update 1.11.00. This update includes a lot of changes, so let’s take a look at what’s new.
1. Register More Pets
I’m so excited! They’ve increased the number of pets we can register to a hundred – that’s amazing! Though realistically, only fifty can be out with us in camp at once. The rest are just… being well taken care of by other Greymanes, apparently. And get this: they’re giving us all the rewards from pet challenges we already finished, automatically! No more hunting around for stuff we earned. It’s a really nice update.
This will likely be very appealing to players who enjoy finding and rescuing creatures from Pywel – either by bringing them back to their basecamp or simply helping them off the streets.
2. Find Baby Wyverns More Easily

We’ve added map icons for baby wyverns! This makes it much easier to find and start raising your own wyvern mount. You’ll still need to care for and grow the little ones, but now you’ll know exactly where they are. If you haven’t heard, wyverns can be ridden as mounts – and unlike Blackstar, there’s no waiting time after summoning them.
We loved wyverns ever since the last update, and they remain our favorite mount. Just a heads-up: you can no longer stack Kuku Bird eggs or Wyvern eggs.
3. Mounting Issues Have Been Fixed

Hey everyone, good news! If you’ve been struggling to actually get on your wyverns after summoning them, it should be way easier now. They also fixed the bug where your mount would spawn right into danger – that was seriously stressing me out, so I’m glad that’s gone! Another thing – remember how your wyvern would try to remount you mid-dive? Yeah, that’s fixed, so you can finally do those awesome dives without getting stuck. Plus, you can now mount your wyvern using Axiom Force without needing to learn the Back Hang skill, which is a nice quality-of-life improvement. Oh, and one last thing – neither my Blackstar nor my wyverns will randomly walk into the water anymore, which was just…weird. Overall, a great update for mount players!
Honestly, flying is amazing, but I’ve found it makes noticing details on the ground a little tricky! It’s perfect for quickly traveling long distances when you need to, but if I really want to find hidden stuff or solve mysteries, I still prefer having something else dedicated to exploring down below.
4. Pets Keep Their Names When They Grow
We once had a young wyvern we nicknamed Toothless, even though it had surprisingly sharp teeth! Sadly, the name didn’t fit as it grew. But now, having names stick with your pets as they mature adds a really personal touch to raising creatures you can ride. It’s a small detail, but it’s these kinds of things that make the world of Pywel such a captivating place to live a second life.
It’s always nice to have pets with names, after all.
5. Buy Back Lost Rare Equipment from Shopkeepers

It’s easy to accidentally get rid of valuable items while managing your inventory. Now, if you find you need something you previously discarded, you can buy it back from shops – though it will cost more. We call this a recovery fee because it takes time, up to 7 in-game days, for the item to reappear in the shop’s stock. Thankfully, you won’t lose items forever!
This update should help you manage your inventory more effectively, but we still suggest being careful when getting rid of items.
6. Pinball Is Now Easier

If you found the Pinball game added recently a bit challenging and not as relaxing as we hoped, you’ll be happy to hear we’ve made some improvements. The ball will now feel a little heavier, and we’ve fixed the problem where it sometimes got stuck when hitting the bumpers. We’ve also adjusted and removed some of the pins to make gameplay smoother.
We’ve fixed issues with the ball getting stuck in the top-left corner and falling off the launcher. We also tweaked how hard and at what angle the ball launches.
7. Damiane and Oongka Get Access To Useful Tools

Previously, two of the three characters had to gather resources like ore and wood by hand, using tools like pickaxes and axes. Now, both Damiane and Oongka can use a mining drill and chainsaw, making resource collection much faster. This lets you spend less time gathering and more time battling the challenges Pywel throws your way, with gear that’s easier to improve. Also, you’ll now get the correct amount of ore when harvesting while climbing on walls.
This is just the latest change designed to make these two characters easier to use compared to how they were at the game’s beginning, and it’s clear they’ve been significantly improved over time.
8. Expanded Controller Mapping

Playing Pywel with a controller is now more convenient thanks to expanded control options. You can now easily access important features like your inventory, map, skills, photo mode, and journal whenever you need them. While using the touchpad for the map is still a quick way to go, it’s great that the developers are giving players more choices to navigate the game’s menus.
We think players who use controllers with extra buttons, and those who love exploring the world of Pywel, will especially enjoy this update.
9. Minor Improvements and Fixes To Combat

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know about some updates! I noticed my Spirit wasn’t recovering quickly enough with Damiane and Oongka even after boosting their Focus, but that’s been fixed – should be much better now. Also, if you left any Golems hanging around in Pywel, expect them to fight a little differently. And for all us archers out there, Explosive Evasive Shot and Multishot got a nice buff when using special arrows. Seriously, this might make some Greymanes rethink their whole build and go ranged!
We’ve fixed Oongka’s Scatter Shot so it now fires the correct number of cannonballs when used while wall-clinging.
10. Miscellaneous Changes

We’ve fixed the annoying bug that prevented experience points from showing up when you fed your pet. You should also see animal names correctly displayed at the Rancher’s shop now, instead of question marks. Plus, we’ve updated the animal images in the Knowledge and Guides section to make the game look even better.
This update includes several improvements: we’ve fixed localization errors, resolved the issue with Depth of Field in Photo Mode by adding an option to turn it off, and added a Flower Basket to the Hernand Contribution Shop. Additionally, the first volume of ‘Ranged Weapons of the World’ is now available from the equipment vendor in Hernand.
So, that’s my take on the latest update! I’m really loving how easy they’ve made it to care for our pets – it’s been a great improvement. But honestly, I’m itching to see the developers focus on the bigger picture now, like getting the story really flowing. I’m super curious to see how they tackle that! Overall though, things are looking really good for Crimson Desert, and I have a feeling Pywel is only going to get even better as the year goes on. I can’t wait!
