Okay, so I just heard from Jeff Sneider – you know, the movie insider? – that Mark Hamill, Luke Skywalker himself, is joining Season 3 of Twisted Metal on Peacock! Seriously, who would’ve thought this show would even get a second season, let alone a third? And now it’s got Hamill?! That’s awesome news for fans.
We don’t yet know what part the famous actor will have in the project, but he’ll be acting with Anthony Mackie and Stephanie Beatriz, who are both reprising their roles.
It’s unfortunate Sony hasn’t released a game to build on the success of this show, as it’s become a surprisingly popular win for their TV and film division. Plus, it’s actually a really enjoyable series.
So, I heard something really interesting – apparently, the team behind Until Dawn 2, Firesprite, actually started working on a new Twisted Metal game for a while. It was just a prototype, though, and sadly, it never really went anywhere. They ended up canceling it internally, which is a bummer!
Mark Hamill is a celebrated actor best known for playing Luke Skywalker, and also famously voicing the Joker over many years. It will be exciting to see what role he takes on in Twisted Metal – landing him for the show is a significant achievement.
