I was so hyped for Season 2 of Solo Leveling when it dropped last year as part of the Winter 2025 schedule, and it totally delivered! They adapted what I think is the very best story arc, and honestly, it was an emotional ride. Seeing Jinwoo finally bring his mother back was incredible. Things moved quickly after that, launching right into the Jeju Island Arc where he faced his toughest battle yet. I’m really excited to see what challenges he’ll overcome next, and I’m hoping Season 3 will finally start to reveal the secrets behind his powers. It’s been over a year since Season 2 finished, and we’re all still waiting for news about a sequel, but the good news is that A-1 Pictures, the studio behind Solo Leveling, has promised some new surprises in July, which is awesome!
This year’s Anime Expo will take place from July 2nd to July 5th. A-1 Pictures will host a panel on July 3rd, where they’ll share the latest news about their upcoming anime and projects, including their original series, Grow Up Show, which premieres in July. Anime Expo’s official X account announced that anime producer Shota Fujii and director Kanta Kamei will both be attending. Kamei is known for directing shows like Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend and Bunny Drop, while Fujii has worked on popular titles such as 86 and NieR: Automata Ver1.1a.
What Is The Grow Up Show Anime About?

The story is set in 1950s Japan, a time of rapid economic growth when the circus was incredibly popular. Many traveling circus groups competed for audiences and the chance to perform at the prestigious Circus Collection festival, reserved for the most talented acts. The plot follows the Himawari Circus, led by ringmaster Maria, as they struggle financially while touring the country.
The circus was struggling until a talented newcomer, Mizuka Tsurumaki, appeared and promised to revitalize the show. The first look at the series reveals the basic story and introduces the main characters, whose information is available on the anime’s official website.
The anime series Grow Up Show is a partnership between A1-Pictures and the newly established Psyde Kick Studio. These studios previously worked together on the anime film Kusunoki no Bannin, which was released in Japan in January 2026 but hasn’t yet been shown worldwide. Although the animation of Solo Leveling is taking more time, A1-Pictures continues to develop new content. They recently announced an anime adaptation of the popular Shonen series Bless, scheduled for release next year and confirmed in March 2026.
