PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members are getting a new batch of games today! As Sony announced last week, they’re changing how these games – for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and classic consoles – are added to the service.
In the UK, US, and Japan, new game releases for subscribers are being spread out over several weeks. Sonic X Generations has been available since Friday, while Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Life Is Strange: Double Exposure will launch on June 23rd.
Just so you know, this change to the release schedule only affects players in the UK, USA, and Japan. If you’re located anywhere else, you’ll continue to receive the monthly PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium updates as usual. These two PlayStation games – for both PS5 and PS4 – are now available for download in the UK, US, and Japan.

When I first played Final Fantasy 16 on my PS5, I was blown away – seriously! We gave it a 9 out of 10, and for good reason. It’s one of those games that just feels huge and epic, unlike anything else I’ve seen lately. The cutscenes are absolutely stunning, making it a real visual treat, but it wasn’t just pretty; the story really grabbed me emotionally, and the combat was incredibly satisfying too. Honestly, it felt like the peak of what modern games can achieve in terms of cinematic presentation.
According to critic Robert Ramsey, the best way to enjoy this Square Enix game is to stick to the core storyline and avoid getting sidetracked by optional content.
Gitaroo Man is a unique rhythm game for the PlayStation 2. Players challenge opponents in musical battles by pressing the corresponding PlayStation buttons as they scroll across the screen.
