It’s always uncertain whether older games added to the PS Plus Premium service will have Trophies on PS5 and PS4 until they’re actually released. Some retro titles include Trophies, while others don’t.
The newest game in this beloved series includes plenty of fun digital collectibles you can unlock and win!
Gitaroo Man is a unique rhythm-based adventure game originally created by iNiS and published by Koei Tecmo for the PlayStation 2 in the early 2000s.
You can now enjoy this game with your PlayStation Plus Premium membership, or buy it separately. Either way, you’ll have the chance to earn all 21 Trophies, including the prestigious Platinum Trophy!
The requirements are fairly simple: beat the game, get an A rank on every level, and don’t miss any notes. Plus, you’ll need to finish one stage on Master’s Play difficulty – which becomes available after your first playthrough.
While it might not be a difficult game, earning Trophies in classic retro titles is still really enjoyable! Being a longtime fan of the original, I plan on getting this version quickly and adding its Platinum Trophy to my collection.
Okay, so if you’ve never heard of Gitaroo Man, think of it like PaRappa the Rapper. It’s a rhythm game where you go through different stages, and there’s a really fun, goofy story happening around the gameplay. Basically, you’re judged on how well you hit the beats!
This game replaces rapping with guitar playing to battle opponents. It features fantastic music and heartwarming scenes. If you enjoyed PaRappa the Rapper, you’ll likely love this game too.
Even if you don’t care about unlocking achievements, I think this game is worth playing. But the achievement system is a welcome addition for players who enjoy collecting them.
