Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances Brown) is causing trouble again in Coronation Street.
Shona Platt’s sister hasn’t been heard from in weeks, likely because she’s ashamed of having tried to flirt with her brother-in-law, David.
As viewers may remember, Jodie has been displaying a tendency to steal things ever since she first appeared during the January storyline with Corriedale.
The storyline began with a photo of Bernie Winter-Alahan (Jane Hazlegrove) designed to heighten her anxiety about being stalked by Mal Roper (Tim Treloar), alongside a book that belonged to Brian Packham (Peter Gunn).
Her actions appear to be rooted in a sense of unfairness. Shona enjoyed a privileged life, while she shouldered the responsibility of caring for their sick father.
In today’s episode, however, she took something far more sinister.

The scene began in a garage, where Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) handed a gun to his uncle, Kevin (Michael Le Vell), and told him to shoot it.
Kevin recently watched a video from Tyrone Dobbs showing Carl tampering with his brakes, which led to a major fight. Both Kevin and Tyrone were shocked when Carl pulled out a weapon, and Ronnie Bailey wouldn’t let them go until they resolved the issue.
The men doubted the gun was genuine, but Tyrone didn’t want to chance it and just wanted to return home to his family.
Completely crushed by what Kevin said about the hurt he’d caused the Websters, he begged him to stop.
Kevin grabbed the device and pointed it, but Ronnie was horrified by the danger and tried to take it from him.
The gun went off, but luckily no one was hurt. Kevin was devastated by what he’d done, and it was then that he and Carl decided to end their feud and put the past behind them, especially because of Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney), who is living with early-onset dementia.
That night, following Fiona Morley’s (Sara Poyzer’s) instructions, Carl hid the gun under a car tire. He was told to leave it there for someone to collect from that hidden spot.

Carl didn’t know it, but Jodie had been watching him and quickly snatched the item before Fiona’s suspicious friend could get to it. She was thrilled with her find, but now the question is, what will she do with it?
Oh man, things are about to get really bad for Carl! As soon as Fiona got her hands on whatever ‘it’ is, I knew he was in trouble. She just stormed into the Chariot Square Hotel, demanding to know where it was, but poor Carl had no idea what she was talking about.
Debbie urgently told Carl and Ronnie to locate the gun, worried about someone getting injured and remembering Fiona’s threat to ruin their lives if they didn’t act within a week.
Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 or can be streamed from 7am on ITVX.
