Bob Odenkirk has reprised his role as Saul Goodman in a new video with a meaningful message! Even though Better Call Saul concluded in 2022, Odenkirk effortlessly returns to the character. He’s doing this for a special public service announcement celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States on July 4th, and he’s joined by another well-known face from the Breaking Bad universe.
A new YouTube video, posted by Saul4Democracy, features Bob Odenkirk (as his character Saul Goodman) playfully reminding Americans about their constitutional rights. While acknowledging that these rights were established long ago “by guys in powdered wigs and knee socks,” he goes on to list several of them, pointing out they’re still important today. He emphasizes how fortunate Americans are to have so many rights, recognizing the struggles people faced to secure them. The video successfully blends Saul Goodman’s comedic persona with a sincere appreciation for these freedoms.

Bob Odenkirk isn’t the only familiar face returning in the video. At the very end, his character Saul Goodman gives a piece of advice: “Know your rights, and for the love of Mike, don’t ever give them up.” Jonathan Banks, who played Mike, then adds his own comment, officially backing the message and reminding viewers how great their on-screen partnership was in both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
The Return of These Breaking Bad Favorites Makes Us Want a New Spinoff All Over Again

Seeing Saul Goodman and Mike Ehrmantraut together again is fantastic, but it definitely makes you long for the world of Breaking Bad. The actors clearly love these characters and slip right back into their roles effortlessly. While another spin-off series would be welcome, it’s probably unrealistic to expect to see this pair team up again, considering when the original shows took place.
While Gus Fring is one of the few characters who could potentially return in a new Breaking Bad show, it doesn’t seem likely right now. We’ll have to enjoy the unexpected appearances from the cast as a substitute for fresh episodes – and that’s still great! As the Fourth of July approaches, it’s a perfect time to revisit these fantastic shows. If you need something to watch over the long weekend, you can’t go wrong with rewatching Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul.
