Now that season one of Saint-Pierre has launched in the UK, good news for viewers – the show has been renewed for another season!

I’m so thrilled to hear Death in Paradise is coming back for a third season! And even better, Josephine Jobert – one of my absolute favorites on the show – will be returning as the lead alongside Allan Hawco. I can’t wait!

Addressing comparisons to the BBC’s ‘Death in Paradise’, writer Jobert explained to TopMob that he didn’t see any resemblance when he first read the script.

Just like the island of Guadeloupe, the fictional Saint Marie in ‘Death in Paradise’ feels like a character in the show. The same goes for Saint-Pierre – it’s almost a character too. However, they each have their own distinct personality.

The Caribbean offers sunshine and warmth, while Saint Pierre is a very cold place – the atmosphere is completely different. I keep getting asked to do more crime dramas, but I’m turning them down because I feel like I’ve explored that genre enough.

But when will Saint-Pierre season 3 be landing on screens? Read on for everything we know so far.

Saint-Pierre season 3 release date speculation

The third season of Saint-Pierre doesn’t yet have a confirmed release date.

Filming for the upcoming season starts next month, which suggests we might see new episodes around 2027, judging by how long previous seasons took to produce.

Mark Hawco and Robina Lord-Stafford, the creators of the show, expressed their gratitude to CBC, Fifth Season, and fans around the world for their ongoing support, as stated in a recent press release to Deadline.

I’m really excited we’re going back to Newfoundland and Saint-Pierre et Miquelon for Season 3! Those places feel so central to what makes the show, well, the show. They’re a huge part of its character, and it just wouldn’t be the same without them.

As a huge fan myself, I’m really excited about where they’re taking the show! They’ve got such a great thing going with those first two seasons – all the secrets, surprising turns of events, and how the characters interact. It sounds like we can expect even more of what makes this series so captivating.

The first season has recently launched in the UK, so the release schedule might be a little different than in the US. We anticipate it will be shown on U&Alibi. It will continue to be available on CBC in Canada.

What will Saint-Pierre season 3 be about?

Season 2 of Saint-Pierre was full of surprises. Detective Arch discovered shocking truths about her past, and her investigation into the Abstract Killer unexpectedly became personal.

The second season ended with a new character arriving – a mysterious woman stepped off a helicopter and was greeted by Benoit Lévesque (played by Paul Gross).

Season 3’s story is still under wraps, but we expect more episodes featuring both the island’s stunning landscapes and increasingly complex mysteries.
