Norman Reedus, famous for playing Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead, has said a heartfelt goodbye to the character now that filming has finished on the spin-off series.

Norman Reedus has portrayed Daryl Dixon for the past 15 years, starting with his debut in the third episode of The Walking Dead in 2010. His character’s story has continued through four seasons of the popular spin-off series.

Norman Reedus recently posted photos from the set of the final Daryl Dixon episode on Instagram. He shared that it was difficult to say goodbye to the crew and wrap up filming after his time in Mongolia.

I didn’t share any photos here yet, but I’m really excited for everyone to see this show. It was the best team I’ve ever worked with, and the feeling of finishing it was incredible.

I poured my heart and soul into this, and I really believe you’ll connect with it. This season felt incredibly special, and I’m excited to share it with you. It’s truly different than anything I’ve done before. ❤️⚡️

Norman Reedus announced back in November that he’d completed filming for season four, marking the end of his over ten-year journey with the role.

Today was the last day of filming for my character, Daryl Dixon,” he shared. “Playing him alongside all of you for so long has been a real pleasure, and I’m incredibly grateful for the experience. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

While there’s no official release date yet, Daryl Dixon season 4 is anticipated to premiere this fall. This season will be the longest one so far, with a total of eight episodes.

The new series picks up with Daryl after he finds himself stranded in France. The story follows his journey as he tries to find a way back home to America.
