But for now, for a full overview on how to get a Unicorn pet in Grow a Garden 2, let’s jump in.
Grow a Garden 2 Unicorn: How to get the GaG 2 pet explained
There are actually two different ways to get a Unicorn pet in Grow a Garden 2. These are:
- Encountering a Unicorn spawn in the overworld and purchasing for 12 million Sheckles
- Hatching a Unicorn from a Common Egg
Unicorns are very rare in the normal game world and disappear quickly, so you’ll need to act fast if you see one. They only have a 0.71% chance of appearing, meaning you’ll need to be vigilant to spot them.
If you ever find one, stop what you’re doing and buy it immediately – it’s worth it!

However, getting Pokémon by hatching Eggs can save you a lot of coins, but it could take a significant amount of time.
Eggs are only available through Guild competitions, meaning you’ll need to join a Guild before you can begin hatching them.
Even if you finish last in a competition, you’ll still receive five Common Eggs, while the top reward is 25. You’ll get plenty of opportunities to earn them, and you’ll likely need them all!
There’s a small chance – just 0.3% – that a regular egg will hatch into a Unicorn. This is actually rarer than finding a Unicorn naturally! However, because hatching eggs saves you money and you’ll have many tries, it’s likely the most reliable way to get one over time.
