It’s been reported that Microsoft may be planning to bring the game “Starfield” to the PlayStation 5, potentially around the same time as the game’s second significant expansion. According to Mp1st, this PS5 release could occur during the spring of 2026.
Although Bethesda is rumored to be developing a PS5 version, it’s important to mention that Microsoft won’t likely unveil this port during the upcoming Gamescom event. The report hints at potential changes in the future, as marketing and development strategies can shift based on the project’s advancement.
Initially, whispers about Starfield potentially debuting on PlayStation 5 surfaced as early as May. The initial report suggested that an official announcement would take place at some point in 2021. It is also speculated that the timeframe between the announcement and the PS5 release of the game will be relatively short. This news follows another report indicating that Starfield was initially intended to launch on PlayStation 5 simultaneously with its first expansion – Shattered Space.
Right now, you can play Starfield on your PC or Xbox Series X/S. Here’s our take on the main game along with a review of the Shattered Space expansion pack.
