Lemonade Mouth’s Bridgit Mendler, Hayley Kiyoko & Naomi Scott Reunite

It’s no breakthrough that the girls of Lemonade Mouth have always been close.

In a recent update, Hayley Kiyoko joined the popular online tradition of sharing a then-and-now photo of friends. This was to highlight that she has been maintaining contact with her co-stars Bridgit Mendler and Naomi Scott over the years.

Hayley recently posted on Instagram a current picture of the three of them, asking, “How long have we been friends?”, accompanied by an old photograph of their film collaboration in 2011, captioned, “And how many months was that?

The singer, 34, captioned the sweet throwback, “We’ll always be more than a band.”

In Disney Channel’s original movie, a group, including Adam Hicks and Blake Michaels, came together to create the fictional band Lemonade Mouth. This happened after they discovered their shared musical abilities while serving detention together. They later participated in a local rock competition, encountering various high school obstacles during the process. Remarkably, three songs from the film made it onto the Billboard Top 100 chart.

As an unwavering devotee, I can’t help but reflect on the remarkable journeys of my beloved trio: Hayley who now graces stages with her melodious voice as a singer, Bridgit who is soaring through space as the CEO of a groundbreaking startup, and Naomi who continues to captivate audiences with her acting prowess. Yet, despite their individual successes and geographical distances, they’ve managed to keep our friendship alive over the years.

In October 2024, Naomi, aged 32, playfully mentioned that Bridgit and Hayley continue to poke fun at her for her supposed American accent in the film.

In an interview with MTV UK, Hayley acknowledged that Bridgit often teased me about my American accent during our work on Lemonade Mouth. She explained that this was because it was my initial acting project.

It’s no wonder that their bond remains solid; after all, Naomi played the role of a bridesmaid in Bridgit’s 2019 wedding. Moreover, during the premiere of the horror movie “Smile 2”, Naomi publicly acknowledged Bridgit, who is 32 years old, expressing that if they had to face demons offscreen, Bridgit would be the one she’d choose to stand by her side.

She mentioned that she would be going with Bridgit Mendler. The reason being, Bridgit is the one who established a space company and also earned a law degree. So, she feels confident that Bridgit will find a way to deal with this monster, given her intelligence.

Following his debut as charming character Ethan Craft in Hilary Duff’s comedy, Clayton Snyder momentarily stepped away from acting to complete high school and attend Pepperdine University, where he participated in water polo. Although he appeared in an episode of NCIS in 2014, currently his main focus is on his real estate career. However, when the subject comes up, he doesn’t avoid his past as a child actor. As he shared with TopMob News, “Occasionally clients discover who I am, and they can’t believe it! But that makes me feel good because I know that’s not why they’re working with me. It’s the best of both worlds, where they get to enjoy recognizing me but our professional relationship is based on the quality of our work.

As the cherished co-star and love interest David “Gordo” Gordon on the iconic comedy series Lizzie McGuire, I, Adam Lamberg, ventured into roles in movies such as When Do We Eat? and Beautiful Loser. Perusing my LinkedIn profile, one can see that I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from UC Berkeley and later pursued a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College. Unfortunately, despite the anticipation for a Lizzie McGuire reboot, I have chosen to step away from acting and focus on other endeavors.

In the final episodes of “Lizzie McGuire” and its 2003 movie, Lalaine’s character Miranda Sanchez was absent due to her commitments on Disney Channel Original Movie “You Wish!”. This absence seemed to echo in her professional life as her music career didn’t gain much traction, and a sequel series centered around Miranda called “What’s Stevie Thinking?” failed to progress beyond the pilot stage. The year 2007 saw Lalaine being arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine. After undergoing court-ordered rehabilitation, the charge was removed from her record. Since then, she has made fewer appearances on either big or small screens compared to social media platforms like Instagram. However, a film titled “Definition Please” was released in 2020 featuring Lalaine.

Following 65 episodes as the cherished younger brother Matt on Lizzie McGuire, Jake Thomas maintained a consistent acting career, featuring in Disney’s Cory In the House and later guest starring on series such as ER, House, Criminal Minds, NCIS, and S.W.A.T.. He also collaborated with YouTuber Joey Graceffa in the web series Storytellers from 2013 to 2014. In 2018, he completed his studies at Cal State University, Northridge, earning a degree in Screenwriting with a minor in Japanese Language. On Instagram, he posts a blend of his personal photography and nostalgic images from his days as a child actor.

Following her debut starring performance in the 2000 DCOM “Rip Girls,” Camilla Belle temporarily stepped away from acting before reappearing in the 2006 remake of “When a Stranger Calls” and the successful film “10,000 BC.”

She had a short-lived romance with Joe Jonas, whom she encountered on the set of the Jonas Brothers’ music video for “Lovebug,” from the end of 2008 to mid-2009. This relationship led to a mention in Taylor Swift‘s song “Better Than Revenge.”

Since then, she has primarily focused on indie projects, acting in films like “Open Road,” “Diablo” and the 2017 film starring James Franco, titled “The Mad Whale.” Lately, she’s been seen on “Dollface” and “Law & Order: Organized Crime.

After wrapping up his role as Max Russo, the youngest sibling, on “Wizards of Waverly Place” in 2012, actor Jake T. Austin swiftly landed a leading part on ABC Family (now Freeform) series, “The Fosters.” He played Jesus Foster for the initial two seasons before leaving and being succeeded by Noah Centineo. Following this, he took part in season 23 of “Dancing With the Stars” and was the first contestant eliminated. In addition, he provided his voice for the films “The Emoji Movie” (2017) and “Adverse” (2020), a thriller featuring Mickey Rourke. Despite not appearing in the first season of the sequel to “Wizards,” fans are eagerly anticipating his potential return in the second season.

In the years since “Wizards of Waverly Place” ended in 2012, actor David Henrie, best known for his role as Justin Russo, has taken a different path from his former castmates. He was not part of the follow-up film “The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex”, but he did appear in movies like “Grown Ups 2” and “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2”.

In April 2017, Henrie married former Miss Delaware Maria Cahill. Their daughter, Pia Francesca Philomena Henrie, was born on March 19, 2019. At around the same time, he announced that he and Maria were expecting, but he was also arrested at LAX for allegedly carrying a loaded gun in the airport. After expressing remorse for the unintentional act, he received a sentence of two years probation and 20 days of community service.

Currently, David Henrie is a father of three and is executive producing and starring alongside Selena Gomez in the new spin-off series on Disney+ titled “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place”.

Following her role as Harper Finkle, Alex Russo’s BFF, in “The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex“, Jennifer Stone appeared in a 2014 Lifetime thriller titled “High School Possession” and portrayed the Babysitter for Nickelodeon’s anthology series “Deadtime Stories“. In 2013, she was diagnosed with a type of diabetes known as latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (often referred to as Type 1.5 diabetes), and her film “The In-Between” aimed to raise awareness about this condition.

Mia Talerico, who is now well-known for her role as Charlie Duncan on Good Luck Charlie, which started airing in April 2010 when she was just 10 months old, has continued to act since the show ended in 2014. She has appeared in Brat’s kids’ show Mani, playing Paige for 13 episodes, and also runs her own YouTube channel where she creates “unboxing” and toy review videos.

After completing “Good Luck Charlie”, Teddy Duncan, Charlie’s second eldest sibling, took on a more mature role when Bridgit Mendler joined the second season of NBC comedy “Undateable” in 2015. She starred in two seasons of this sitcom before it was cancelled. Since then, she has made appearances in two episodes of “Nashville”, the Netflix film “Father of the Year”, and a Netflix series co-starring Dennis Quaid and Ashley Tisdale titled “Merry Happy Whatever”.

The actress, who also released two albums, pursued advanced studies at USC in anthropology. In May 2018, she announced that she had begun a graduate program at MIT. Later, in January 2019, she shared that she was attending Harvard Law School. Most recently, she disclosed that she and her engineer husband, Griffin Cleverly, adopted a 4-year-old son and launched their own tech startup, Northwood Space, which aims to construct ground satellite stations to assist in sending and receiving data from space.

As a devoted follower, I’ve observed that while my Cheetah Girls co-stars Raven-Symone and Adrienne Bailon-Houghton have remained active in acting roles and hosting gigs since the end of our DCOM franchise in 2008, Kiely Williams’ path has taken a slightly different turn.

Following her role in “The House Bunny” in 2008, Kiely secured parts in “Elle: A Modern Cinderella Tale” in 2010, “Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming”, and “Holla II” in 2013. She tied the knot with Brandon “BJ” Cox in December 2016, and Sabrina Bryan, another Cheetah Girl, served as her bridesmaid. In 2017, Kiely reappeared briefly in the public eye when she competed on a episode of “Celebrity Family Feud”, representing the Girl Group team alongside Sabrina.

Following the airing of “Cheetah Girls: One World” in 2008, Sabrina Bryan took on the role of a correspondent for TopMob News during the eighth season of “Dancing With the Stars,” which was held in 2009, three seasons after she had competed and been eliminated in sixth place. She reappeared on the dance floor for season 15 in 2012, this time as an All Star contestant. Despite receiving perfect scores, she was once again eliminated in sixth position, exactly five years after her initial elimination.

In addition to that, she lent her voice to the Disney Channel animated series “Fish Hooks,” started a web series titled “Dinner With Friends” with Kiely Williams in 2011, and married strategic accounts manager Jordan Lundberg on October 6, 2018, after nine years of dating. Now, she’s reviving the magic of Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOM) with her iHeartPodcast “Magical Rewind” alongside Will Friedle.

Following his role in the 1999 Disney Channel Original Movie “Smart House”, Ryan Merriman became a regular on the network, featuring in “The Luck of the Irish” (2001) and “A Ring of Endless Light” (2002). Subsequently, he shifted towards more mature roles, starring in horror movies such as “Halloween: Resurrection”, “The Ring Two”, and “Final Destination 3”. In 2010, he landed a recurring part as Ian Thomas on “Pretty Little Liars”, appearing in 16 episodes until 2014. He also played a supporting role in the 2013 biopic “42” about Jackie Robinson. Currently, his career is busy, but mainly with independent projects.

After getting married in 2004, he and wife Micol Duncan parted ways in 2011. On New Year’s Day of 2012, he announced his engagement to Kristen McCullen. They got married in 2014.

Between 1999 and 2004, Kirsten Storms gained popularity on Disney Channel, featuring in the Zenon trilogy, Johnny Tsunami, and providing voiceovers for Kim Possible. However, even during this period, she was laying the groundwork for a more mature acting career, joining NBC’s Days of Our Lives in 2000 for a four-year, 410 episode run.

Following an attempt to break into prime-time television with a role in CBS’s Clubhouse (a short-lived baseball drama) in 2004, she returned to daytime soap operas in 2005 as Maxie Jones on ABC’s General Hospital until 2023. An interesting tidbit: She has been part of over 1,100 episodes!

In 2011, Storms tried her hand at reality TV, appearing in the short-lived TopMob series Dirty Soap, which focused on the personal lives of soap stars. In August 2013, she and her General Hospital co-star Brandon Barash announced they had secretly married in June and were expecting a child in January. Their daughter Harper Rose Barash was born on January 7, 2014. On April 6, 2016, it became public knowledge that she and her husband had filed for divorce, attributing the decision to irreconcilable differences.

In the year 1998, Erik von Dette captivated audiences everywhere, shining as the lead in one of the initial Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOMs), titled “Brink!”. Following this success, he became a familiar face, lending his voice to “Recess”, playing John Bryant in “The Princess Diaries”, and starring in the supernatural Disney Channel series “So Weird” from 1999 to 2001. He also made brief appearances in reality TV, participating in the inaugural celebrity edition of ABC’s “The Mole”. Additionally, he appeared in short-lived television shows such as “Dinotopia” and “Complete Savages”. More recently, he reprised his role as Sid in “Toy Story 3”, a character he had originally played in the Pixar franchise’s debut in 1995.

Presently, Erik works in sales for a financial company and is married to Angela, with whom he shares two children.

Following his role as Ricky Ullman in the TV series “Phil of the Future” from 2004 to 2006, Raviv started moving towards more mature roles, appearing in shows like “Big Love” and “House,” using his real name for the first time in a 2006 episode. This was followed by a regular role on the Lifetime comedy “Rita Rocks” from 2008 to 2009. More recent credits include an episode of “Broad City” in 2015 and a recurring role in the web series “Strangers” in 2018. From 2012 to 2018, he participated in several stage shows and was the drummer for Zoe Kravitz’s band Lolawolf from 2013 to 2014.

In 2022, he shared with TopMob News that he had just completed work in San Francisco, where he directed an opera at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

1999 saw Kimberly J. Brown rise to fame as she portrayed young witch Marnie Piper in the beloved DCOM “Halloweentown,” opposite the esteemed Debbie Reynolds. The movie was such a success that it led to three sequels. However, the network made an unexpected choice in 2006 for “Return to Halloweentown,” replacing her with Sara Paxton. Unsurprisingly, the fourth film is often considered the least popular in the series.

Outside of the franchise, her acting roles have been relatively scarce, with appearances in the 2005 film “Be Cool” and episodes on AMC’s short-lived “Low Winter Sun” in 2013 being among the most notable. She also acted in 15 episodes of “General Hospital” in 2021 and close to 50 episodes of “Guiding Light.”

After completing her business degree in college, she started an Etsy shop called CraftilyCreative, where she sells a range of items, including Halloweentown-themed merchandise. In 2016, she and coauthor Diane Yslas released a Halloween-themed children’s book titled “Poppin’s Pumpkin Patch Parade“.

Disney fans were thrilled when she fell in love with her “Halloweentown” costar Daniel Kountz. The couple tied the knot in April 2024.

From the years 2006 to 2011, Mitchel Musso portrayed Oliver Oken, one of Miley Stewart’s (Miley Cyrus) close friends, on the popular TV show “Hannah Montana.” As the series was drawing to a close, he had an impressive career ahead of him within Disney, securing a lead role in the new series “Pair of Kings” and a hosting gig for “PrankStars.” However, his future took a turn when he was charged with suspicion of DUI while underage—he was 20 years old at the time—during a traffic stop on October 17, 2011. This incident led to him being written off “Pair of Kings” and the cancellation of his prank show. Following this, he focused on independent films and voice acting in the Disney XD series “Milo Murphy’s Law.”

Fast forward to 2023, Musso was arrested for public intoxication and theft in Texas.

Though Jason Earles initially portrayed Miley’s older brother Jackson on Hannah Montana at the age of 29 (he was written as a high school student in season one), he later starred in Disney XD comedy Kickin’ It, where he played Rudy, a role more fitting for his actual age. This series ran for four seasons until it ended in March 2015. Since 2018, Earles has been appearing on the Brat series, Hotel Du Loone, available on YouTube. He also joined the cast of the third season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. In August 2017, he tied the knot with his girlfriend, Katie Drysen.

After playing the character Cory Baxter in That’s So Raven between 2003 and 2007, Kyle Massey went on to secure his own spinoff series, Cory in the House, which ran until 2008. After that, he appeared as a recurring character in The Electric Company, made guest appearances on Gotham and Being Mary Jane, lent his voice to shows like Fish Hooks, Mighty Magiswords, and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and competed in season 11 of Dancing With the Stars and a 2017 episode of Celebrity Family Feud opposite Jennie Garth.

Rumors circulated in 2018 that he would join the cast of The Hills: New Beginnings, but these turned out to be false, with Kyle himself describing them as “fake news.”

In 2021, Kyle Massey was charged with a felony for allegedly engaging in immoral communication with a minor girl. However, his lawyer stated that the charges were baseless and extortionate. The actor’s legal team plans to vigorously defend these accusations and seek damages from those who refuse to consider the facts, with an early dismissal of the case being their goal.

As A.J. Trauth, I’ve had quite a diverse journey since my days as Twitty on Even Stevens from 2000 to 2003 and voicing Josh Mankey in Kim Possible episodes. Post that, I graced the screens of various TV shows like 7th Heaven, House, Ghost Whisperer, CSI, Bones, and many more up until 2012.

Since then, I’ve ventured into independent films and lent my voice to video games such as Wolfenstein: The New Order in 2014 and its sequel, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, in 2017. In a romantic turn of events, I got engaged to the lovely Leah Pipes, whom I had been dating for nearly three years, in February 2014. We exchanged vows that December, but sadly, we parted ways by 2019.

Following a three-year stint as the intelligent Ren Stevens on Even Stevens, voicing Kim Possible, and acting alongside Hilary Duff in the 2002 DCOM Cadet Kelly, Christy Carlson Romano moved to Broadway for a 31-week run in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast as Belle in 2004. She revisited the theater district in 2008, joining the cast of Avenue Q. In 2007, she wrote a novel titled Grace’s Turn, directed a film named Christmas All Over Again in 2016, earned a degree in Film Studies from Barnard College, and married writer-producer Brendan Rooney on December 31, 2013. The couple have two daughters, the youngest born in February 2019.

In 2019, she reappeared on the network that made her a household name with a role in the live-action Kim Possible film, playing pop star Poppy Blu. In May 2019, she shared her struggles after her years as the network’s star in a heartfelt essay for Teen Vogue. “My life was not always perfect or put-together, as my reputation or success during my young adulthood might suggest,” she admitted. “During a period of time in my life, I battled depression, drinking, and other issues, searching for solutions to how I felt.

In 1999, Brandon Baker first appeared in a DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie) as the main character of Johnny Tsunami. Following the film, he had occasional roles in various projects including several episodes of Even Stevens and shows like Boston Public and The Unit while he was studying at UC Santa Barbara.

In 2007, he reprised his Disney star role in the sequel, Johnny Kapahala: Back on Board. Since then, he has been featured in two independent films, one being The Formula with Family Matters’ Reginald VelJohnson and another called Up on the Wooftop, which stars Dennis Haskins from Saved By the Bell as Santa Claus.

In the year 2001, Alana Austin played the lead role in the Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM) titled Motocrossed, portraying Andrea “Andi” Carson – a teenager who adores motocross but is barred from competing. After her twin brother gets injured prior to a major race, she secretly takes his place on the track.

After the movie’s release, Austin made appearances as a guest star in shows such as 7th Heaven, Boston Public, and Cold Case. However, she decided to leave acting behind in 2006. It is said that she studied medicine at USC, but when questioned on Twitter in April 2016 about her current activities, she revealed that she was concentrating on writing. She also mentioned that acting has always held a special place in her heart.

Following her consistent role in the show “Phil of the Future“, Kay Panabaker turned into a regular face on Disney Channel, acting in DCOMs such as “Life is Ruff” and “Read It and Weep“, alongside her elder sister Danielle Panabaker, and participating in the first edition of the Disney Channel Games in 2006. She shifted to more mature roles with the 2009 remake of “Fame” and the 2011 ABC series “No Ordinary Family“, but by 2012, she decided to quit acting. Later, she enrolled in zoology at UCLA and, in 2016, was working as an animal caretaker at none other than Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
