I’m super excited to share that my favorite game, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, is making a comeback! It’s going to be part of the Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection, which will release on PS5 and PS4 later this year. Can’t wait to jump back into the action!

Previously unconfirmed, the updated version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 from 1996 was recently disclosed at Evo today.

If you’re unfamiliar, significant updates in Mortal Kombat Trilogy introduced features like the Brutality system and the Aggressor bar. The Aggressor bar increases as characters engage in attacks, and once it’s fully charged, it provides temporary enhancements for movement and damage.

This classic game initially became available on platforms such as PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Sega Saturn, PC, and less successful systems like Game.com and R-Zone. It remains uncertain which iterations will be emulated in this case, but we can likely anticipate the PS1 and N64 versions to be included.
