WWE Crowns a New Undisputed Champion (And Fixes Major WrestleMania Mistake)

Originally, WrestleMania 41 was planned as an unforgettable clash between two heavyweights from WWE. However, as history has shown us, that didn’t quite happen. Instead, spectators were left with a lackluster performance by a wrestling legend, the premature conclusion of The Rock’s narrative, and a guest appearance that was quickly forgotten. Tonight, SummerSlam Night 2 aims to rectify that WrestleMania blunder and crown a new Undisputed Champion in an outstanding main event.

Initially, Cody Rhodes and John Cena faced each other, then Cena embraced Rhodes. Subsequently, they began exchanging powerful punches. Rhodes was the first to draw blood by hurling Cena into the metallic steps so forcefully that the steps were sent flying. Afterward, Rhodes himself was propelled into another set of steps. Later, Cena approached Tyrese Haliburton and seized one of his crutches to use as a weapon.

Later, Cena positioned the base of the steel steps into the wrestling ring, but this tactic failed when Rhodes countered a move and slammed Cena onto the steps instead. In retaliation, Cena shoved Rhodes off the top rope and to the ground, then grabbed the steel steps, hoisting them on his shoulders before hurling them at Rhodes lying below. The steps connected squarely with Rhodes’ arm, causing him to immediately clutch it after impact. However, Rhodes wasn’t done yet, as he retaliated with a disaster kick to Cena and followed up with a DDT. Rhodes attempted a pin, but Cena managed to kick out, prompting Rhodes to intensify the attack by applying a submission hold.

Like Old Times

In a corner skirmish, Rhodes avoided an attack and executed a powerful slam on Cena, yet Cena miraculously managed to avoid defeat by not staying down. Subsequently, both combatants were hurled over the ropes to the floor, only to re-enter the ring where they exchanged blows with chairs. In a series of continuous attacks, Cena showcased his signature moves, such as the five knuckle shuffle. Rhodes retaliated with his own signature moves, including a massive Cody Cutter for a near fall, but Cena once again managed to survive.

Cena suddenly executed an AA move, but Rhodes managed to avoid being pinned. Rhodes retaliated with a moonsault from the ropes, but Cena showed resilience by avoiding being pinned again. Rhodes was taken aback by Cena’s quick reflexes and narrowly avoided being pinned himself. However, Rhodes followed up with a piledriver on Cena, but Cena somehow managed to raise his shoulder in time to avoid defeat. The match took an unexpected turn when Cena hit another AA move, leaving both wrestlers lying on the mat.

In this wrestling match, Rhodes performed a powerbomb on Cena, but shortly after, Cena retaliated by applying the STF (Sharpshooter) to Rhodes. However, Rhodes managed to reach the ropes and break free from the hold. Subsequently, he tossed Cena over the barricade. Later, Cena used a microphone as a weapon against Rhodes before executing an AA (Attitude Adjustment) on Rhodes through the commentary table.

In this wrestling match, Cena advanced towards Rhodes, but Rhodes dodged and executed a Cross Rhodes move. However, Cena managed to kick out of the pin. Later, both Cena and Rhodes found themselves on top rope, but Cena overpowered him and performed a leg drop followed by an AA. Then, Cena attempted to set up a table, but Rhodes shoved it over and delivered a DDT to Cena instead.

In the wrestling clash, Cena attacked Rhodes, but Rhodes avoided and landed a Cross Rhodes, only for Cena to kick out of the pin. Subsequently, they were on the top rope where Cena had the upper hand, performing a leg drop followed by an AA. Cena tried setting up a table, but Rhodes knocked it over and performed a DDT on Cena instead.

Through the Crowd

In the scuffle, Cena managed to escape a pin, luckily avoiding a collision with a table in the corner. Instead, it was Rhodes who tossed Cena over the safety barrier and splashed water from a cup onto Cena’s face. The action spilled out among the spectators and moved throughout the stadium. In retaliation, Cena struck Rhodes with a steel object, then hoisted Rhodes aloft, only to be countered by a powerful suplex that sent him crashing into a steel barricade resting against a wall.

As a devoted movie buff, I found myself captivated by the backstage scene where I, along with my fellow wrestler Rhodes, sneaked our way beneath the stage. We rose from the shadows on an elevator, with me carrying Rhodes in my arms. Moments later, I delivered another powerful AA, slamming Rhodes onto the ramp with a thunderous impact.

I hoisted Rhodes once more and made our way towards the ring, but he surprised me by flipping me over the table in a swift move. Retaliating, Rhodes executed his signature Cross Rhodes, pinning me down. However, even that wasn’t enough to keep me from getting back up.

Drastic Measures

In the end, Rhodes tumbled to the ground, only to retaliate by smacking Cena across the face with a chair. Subsequently, Rhodes dismantled one of the turnbuckles from its post, wielding the exposed metal. He struck Cena with it, causing him to question his own actions. Moments later, he assaulted Cena again, further fueling his self-doubt as the crowd jeered. However, Cena managed to reverse the attack and looped the bottom rope around Rhodes’ neck in a submission hold, known as an STF. Rhodes retaliated by trapping Cena within the ropes instead.

Rhodes suffered a fall, but swiftly retaliated by chairing Cena in the face. Then, he removed a turnbuckle from its post and swung the exposed steel at Cena, causing him to question his actions. He struck Cena again, increasing his self-doubt as the crowd booed. But Cena managed to counterattack and wrapped the bottom rope around Rhodes’ neck in an STF hold. Rhodes responded by ensnaring Cena within the ropes instead.

In our wrestling match, I executed an AA move, but you countered with the Reverse and delivered the Cross Rhodes. However, it wasn’t over yet. You followed up with another Cross Rhodes and even attempted a third. You connected with the third Cross Rhodes and aimed for the pin, but miraculously, I managed to kick out.

As a cinephile, I ventured to seize the title next, but my hesitation was palpable, as if I was talking myself into it. However, Cena nabbed me and delivered an AA, followed by another swift blow. The title was discarded by Cena, who hoisted me onto the top rope. With me on his shoulders, he executed the avalanche AA for a near pin, but I miraculously kicked out.

In the wrestling arena, Cena positioned a table within the ring before executing another Avalanche AA on Rhodes. However, Rhodes retaliated by seizing Cena, propelling him violently into the table from the top rope. Stunned, Cena clutched his face as Rhodes paid tribute to Cena with a salute before delivering a Cross Rhodes and pinning him down. With this victory, Rhodes became the new Undisputed WWE Champion. After the incredible match, Rhodes and Cena shared an emotional embrace in the heart of the ring.
